Prologue

Nagmadali akong pumasok sa restroom at binuksan ang pinto nito at saka umihi.

I finally felt relieved ngayon at nailabas ko na yung ihi ko.

After that, I checked my purse and something's missing.

Shit, is that my.. Lip gloss?! Shit! Is that the reason why he called me before I came inside this restroom?! What the heck!

Oh no, that guy's not in here anymore, for sure. Why?! Why, Samantha, why?!

After peeing, I decided to get out and just wait for Alexis. It's just lipstick, anyway. I still can buy another one.

I flushed the toilet and made my walk to the entrance of this restroom and when I came out, I saw him again, holding his phone on his left hand, and my lip gloss in his right hand.

"Oh.. that.. thing you're holding is my.. lip gloss." I said, looking at my lip gloss.

"Here you go." he said as he hand me my lip gloss.

"Thanks." I said and I'm about to walk away but he held my hand so I stopped walking.

"Be careful sometimes, Miss. Focus on the way you've been walking to." he said then let me go and walked away, leaving me confused here.

Am I really focusing on my way to the restroom?

Ang tagal ko! Baka si Alexis, nariyan na!

I was rushing my walk until I saw Jayson and Gavin's still sitting, still waiting.

Good thing at wala pa siya! Or else, paktay! Lagot tayo nito, bes! Huhu!

After a while, Alexis is finally here.

"Hey, I've missed you!" I said and walked towards him and gave him a hug of welcome back. "So.. got any boyfriends in Spain?"

"Nah, I still don't know kung kaya ko pa pumasok sa relationship." Alexis said and sighed, remembering his abusive ex-husband Zach.

That guy's so much more than just a redflag.

Akalain mo yon! He's doing something with a girl sa harap niya mismo! And also, he's the reason kung bakit nag move si Alexis sa dorm ko noon at nag stay dun for a week. At eto pa, ah! Puno pa siya ng pasa!

After all these years, he still can't forget about what happened before they ended their marriage.

Also, Zach's so obvious. He's known as the bad boy sa buong campus noon.

Siya rin ang dahilan kung bakit nasaktan ng sobra-sobra ang kaibigan ko.

And also, he's courting me habang wala akong kaalam-alam na kasal siya sa kaibigan ko. Plus, I already rejected him pero go lang siya ng go.

Masama ang timpla ko sa kanya!

"Anyways, let's go?" Gav asked. "I'm hungry," he said in a low tone, nahihiya na ngayon.

Bakit kasi hindi nagdala ng pagkain kanina pa?! Ako na naman yata manlilibre ngayon?

Jusko, ilang years na rin kaya, Lex. After ng divorce ninyo ni Zach, nagpakalunod ka sa pag-aaral at trabaho. Wala ka talagang jinowa pagkatapos!

So sinong susunod na leading man, if ever? Diba?

"Libre ko pambayad!" pagmamayabang ni Gav. Aba! Syempre dapat ikaw ang manlilibre! Palagi na lang ako! Inubos niyo pera ko!

"Mabuti naman at ikaw ang manlilibre ngayon." I shook my head. "After all these years, palagi na lang ako!"

"Oh, ano naman yang hawak mo? Lip gloss? Nag retouch ka?" Alexis asked.

Oh, God. I hope he doesn't know what happened earlier. Oh no, I'm.. in trouble if he knew about it.

Also, he's planning to build his own company. But he's going to help his abusive ex-husband's company as well. I also heard malapit na daw bumagsak yon!

I think Zach can't handle a company na minana sa kanya, kaya ganon.

After we talked a little bit, we all decided to get in the car and went to a Korean restaurant. Yan ang napag-usapan rin namin, e!

Nang makaupo na, nag order ako ng isang ramen bowl. Hindi ko rin alam kung anong in-order nila. Malay ko ba! Wala sakin yung point of view nila!

When the order arrived, I suddenly took my ramen and quietly listening to the stories they're telling. I still can't forget what happened in the airport earlier.

"Sam?" nabigla ako at tumingin sa kanilang tatlo.

"Ayos ka lang?" Jayson asked. "Hindi mo ginagalaw pagkain mo, e!"

"Oo nga, overthink ka, no!" Gav laughed sarcastically.

"No! I don't even have one to overthink of!" I shook my head. "Plus, I still don't know if I've missed him-" I was about to continue but I realized what I just said.

Shit.

What the hell, Sam?!
