"Yeah, she's invested alright. I'd like to give her the old one two to get her to back off."
"Yeah, you need to have a life, Amilia. It's no fun to just work, work, work."
Amilia laughed, "Yeah, fine, so sue me."
"I'd just as well sue her."
Amilia laughed again, "Well, thank you all for your concern, but I think I'm alright."
"As long as you get the rest you need." Jkdek said, ending the conversation. "Well, if there are no more concerns, I am sure our brave hero needs to go to class."
They all laughed and agreed. Jkdek ended the meeting and Amilia scurried off to Unora's lair.
"Look who it is!" She said turning around. "I missed you last night. What was so important for you to skip out on practice?"
"Uh- nothing,... much."
"You skipped out on practice for... nothing much?" She turned around to eye Amilia. "Do you fathom what you could have learned yesterday, what I could have taught you? You missed a valuable day of learning and for what, nothing?" Amilia looked down to the ground. "Although you dread coming here everyday, it is important."
"Is it now?"
"Yes."
"Ah, I see."
"Good, now get your butt over here, let us begin." Amilia scurried over to her and Unora grabbed her hand and dragged her along like she usually did. They did their typical, singing and dancing, sparring and drills, she practiced her flips and slides, her sneaks and her bursts. Then they got to magic, where she used the staff as always, morphing in the armor as much as she could. "I think you are ready." Amilia stood completely up."
"Ready for what?"
"To learn magic without the staff."
"Without a staff? Isn't that dangerous?"
"It can be, if you're not prepared for it."
"And you think I'm prepared for it?"
"I believe so." Unora took her staff and her amulet and put them on her chair. She grabbed Amilia again and took her down the stairs. Unora went behind Amilia and grabbed her arms, moving them at her will. Unora backed away and looked at Amilia. "Ah, perfect! Just perfect." Unora took a few more steps around her. Unora stood in front of her, putting herself in the same pose. "Now, as you say the words you want to slowly raise your arms," As she talked she showed her. "Then after you have said the words, drop them down to your original position hard."
"And what pray tell are the words?"
"Ah uh uh. Not so fast, my dear, first let me see your arms, up and down, up and down!" They moved in sinque to each other. Unora laughed and then put her arms down,
"Are you quite finished?"
"You're in a mood this afternoon."
"I would just like to get on with my day, I've already been here at least four hours."
"Mm, I see, but you can't rush these things, you know that."
Amilia sighed, "I suppose you're right."
"Well, the words are, bpnxi ks ixq grrl tkbb rt srvqg." Unora motioned her hand to Amilia. Amilia looked at her and then stood up straight. She said the words back to her.
"Bpnxi ks ixq grrl tkbb rt srvqg."
"Perfect." Amilia went back into the stance Unora had started her in, she said the words,
"Bpnxi ks ixq grrl tkbb rt srvqg." Then she smashed her hands to her original position. Suddenly the room lit up, but something even more strange happened. The room exploded in several areas, yet, it was not only that. Halfway through the explosions, her mark changed colors and so did her blasts. Instead of her normal orange color, everything turned green. Amilia stood up and looked around at the destruction she caused. She couldn't fathom why the color changed, why suddenly, after all this time, it became an ugly green instead of her normal orange. The explosions stopped and Unora walked over to her.
"I think you need more practice."
"Really?"
"Yes, it was supposed to show off your power, not destroy my lair." Unora sighed, "Get out of here, it is time for me to, uh, reconstruct." Amilia ran off, without a second thought, but realized that not only did the color of her mark change, but so did her stone. It went from its beautiful orange color to a grim, murky green. She put the staff back down and continued forward, she didn't want to think about that fact right now, all she wanted to do was go to the castle and take a break before her night began all over again.
