How far out did you plan the story?

As with most stories I write, I have the beginning and end in mind, and all I gotta do is get there

Did you plan one chapter and go from there or plan everything?

As I said, I knew the beginning and end, and everything else fell into place

Why did you decide Mexico should be female for this book?

Because that's how babies get made sometimes. I suppose Texas could've been a surrogate or something, but both America and Mexico were eagles so y'know, two eagles make an eaglet and stuff. Mexico has been female in my books about as equally as she'd been male, so it's not a tough decision for me, It just depends on the circumstances of the book. Besides, Mexico being a bad*ss empress is a vibe.

How old is Confederate?

five years older than Texas, who is 19 in the book. So Confederate was a 24 year old with the maturity of a baby

If I were an Aerillian, what would I be? What would you be? I personally think you're kind of a Coyote or something.

I vibe with the coyote title. In fact, one of the states is a coyote, and these are the character notes I put for him:

• will eat anything

• night owl (aka, that romantic way to say insomniac)

• he's the kind of guy to find an abandoned house that's 100% haunted with a bunch of human bones in the basement and say "well, it's free ain't it?" And then he proceeds to live there

Who inspired Calis character?

a lil bit of me, and a lot a bit of sweet and sourness

Where did you get this beautiful book idea?

I looked at 'The United Miracles' book and was like, what if I do that, but instead of powers they are their state animal/bird? And what if Texas is the special one again because f*ck everyone?

What story is next?! (Or take some time to yourself, no need to work your hurt off to make stories for us greedy children)

I'm gonna finish up 'Don't Kill People Dammit!' (A book I didn't expect to have so much fun with) and see where I go from there! I might even write a sequel for this (A plot driven one though... I don't think I could keep up United Miracles and a run-on story of this at the same time lol). Writing is rarely a chore, so don't feel bad if I for some reason post 10 times in one day. It's not because I feel pressured, I'm just escaping school

For the Aerillians who were pets, why did you choose to be pets and why didn't you tell your non pet friends that humans existed?

Virginia: One day, when I was a young pup, I would visit the town every so often. It was fun, until a human accidentally ran over my paw with his cart. He picked me up and took me to the orphanage, where he tried to help me heal. Eventually Texas walked in- he was a pup himself at that point- and held me. He read me stories and gave me food until I felt better. From then on, I visited him every day, and he named me honey because of how sweet I was. I never kept him a secret, and I'm the one who introduced him to the mockingbirds.
