Lightbulb carefully weaved buttercups and young dandelions together, meticulously stringing together each flower. She slowly tied a bright sky blue ribbon throughout the twigs and leaves, sticking her tongue out in concentration as she focused on not disturbing the fragile structure of the flower crown. "Uh- Lightbulb?" Lightbulb jumped and in her surprise, tossed the unfinished flower crown in the air.
"Ah! Nononononooooo- Gotcha!" Lightbulb scrambled to catch the crown before it broke and ended up falling on her back and snatching it just before it hit the ground. "Yes!" Lightbulb held the crown above her head triumphantly and sat up, placing the flower crown in her lap before looking to the moderately stunned and impressed Suitcase. "Anyway so what were you saying?"
"Uhhhhh- I was just going to ask what you were up to...?" Suitcase briefly glanced back and forth between Lightbulb and the crown. "Oh! I was just- uh wait holdonaminute-" Lightbulb sloppily tied off the ribbon and played with the bow's placement a little before holding the crown out for suitcase to see. "See! I made a flower crown, now I'm true royalty." Lightbulb held the crown in one hand and smiled smugly and Suitcase couldn't help but giggle at her antics.
"Gosh, Fan would love this, he's always looking for new stuff to post on his blog. Test Tube would probably go on about the flowers in it, she's real smart like that y'know?... And Paintbrush... Painty would probably want to make a painting of it... And I could make us all flower crowns and we would all match and..." Lightbulb trailed off at the end and stared at the crown with a melancholy expression.
Suitcase sat down next to her, concerned. "Lightbulb...is everything alright?" Lightbulb opened her mouth to say something but just sighed. "Sorry, heh.. I'm just a bit bummed about Painty, Test Tube and Fan getting eliminated. Don't worry about it...I just...I wish I could've done something, then maybe atleast one of them could still be here too..." Lightbulb smiled, but Suitcase could tell it wasn't genuine.
"Hey, just because your friends aren't in the game anymore doesn't mean you won't be able to see them again." Lightbulb stared at Suitcase curiously. "All of them are still at the hotel. Once the game is over you'll be able to visit them there, and Lightbulb...try not to worry too much about what you could've done to change the past..." Suitcase briefly glanced at Baseball who was quietly reading a book under the shade of a tree. After yesterday he'd been acting a lot better and actually got back into reading again. Suitcase smiled and looked back to Lightbulb.
"Trust me, I know the feeling and it's...not great." Lightbulb thought for a moment and grinned. "Thanks buddy! I haven't really thought about it...so thank you!" Lightbulb paused for a moment, glancing between the crown in her hands and Suitcase before her light turned on, slightly blinding Suitcase and making her shut her eyes. When Suitcase opened them, she had Lightbulb's flower crown on her head, the blue ribbon slightly falling in her face.
Lightbulb adjusted the crown a little before snapping her fingers and giving Suitcase finger guns. "Lookin good Suitcase! Lookin gooooood." "Pftt- hehahaha!" Suitcase laughed and Lightbulb crossed her arms, proud of her work. A strong breeze blew through the valley, making Baseball lose his spot in his book and blowing the flower crown off of Suitcase's head. Suitcase panicked and Lightbulb quickly grabbed the crown out of the air and both of them sighed in relief.
"Here." Suitcase opened her case and put the flower crown inside before closing it. "Now it can't get damaged." Lightbulb grinned before another, stronger gust of wind almost knocked Suitcase over but Lightbulb kept her from falling over. "Woah! What's with all the wind today?" Suitcase regained her balance and watched Baseball get up and go in the direction the wind was coming from. "Maybe we should check it out, that didn't feel like normal wind..."
Suitcase and Lightbulb walked until they met up with Baseball and Knife, all the while pushing through gust after gust of wind. By the time Suitcase and Lightbulb arrived both Knife and Baseball we're staring out into the sky. Knife squinted with a hand on his forehead, trying to see past the line of trees in the distance. He grumbled in frustration and crossed his arms. "Why are ya staring off into the sky dudes?" Lightbulb stood beside baseball and he turned to talk to her. "Oh hey, ya Knife was already here when I got here, according to him that weird wind was coming from that way." Baseball gestured to the top of the tree line with his foot.
"Knife has been trying to see over those trees to find what's been causing it for the past 20 minutes and uh..." Baseball stared at Knife who was on his tip toes trying to spot anything over the tall trees. "Ya it hasn't been very productive."
"UGH these trees are too tall! I wish Paintbrush was here, they're tall! They could've come in handy..." Knife grumbled to himself and Baseball shook his head. Just then, another huge gust of wind flew over the trees. Knife and Lightbulb covered their faces, trying to stay in place while Baseball rushed behind suitcase to keep her from falling over. The tops of the trees bent forward in an almost 90 degree angle before suddenly going back to normal and the wind slowing down to a moderate breeze.
"See! I told you it was coming from there! Did you see those trees!?" Knife yelled. "What on Earth is with all the racket? Can't someone enjoy their cookies in peace?" Mephone4 walked towards the group of objects, he took the last bite of a chocolate chip cookie before staring at the group with an unamused expression. Lightbulb did a double take and examined Mephone's face again. Bags could just barely be seen under his eyes, his screen looked dimmer than normal and his expression had a look of tiredness and stress in it Lightbulb really only ever saw in Test Tube.
The others didn't seem to notice however as Knife gestured dramatically towards the trees. "Did you not see or hear that huge gust of wind? It almost sent Suitcase flying!" Mephone rubbed his eyes tiredly and look towards the trees. "I'm not sure what to tell you, I've been past those trees before and there's nothing-" An enormous gust of wind cut off Mephone as both Lightbulb and Suitcase fall over from the impact. A small crack was heard as Lightbulb landed hard on the ground, cracking her bulb.
Baseball gasped and stared speechlessly over the trees. "What is THAT?!" A large flying ship that resembled that of an actual sea ship flew over the trees. It hovered in place as all 5 objects gazed at in in absolute awe. The infamous bit Apple logo on the side of the ship made it all too clear to Mephone who the thing belonged to. "No.....it can't be him...not again..." Mephone breathlessly stated as the ship made a loud clicking sound.
Mephone slowly backed away from the ship as multiple lights blinked and a large metal hatch opened up on the underside of it. "Mephone!? Do you recognize this thing?!" Baseball yelled over the deafening ship and heavy wind. Mephone just wordlessly stared at the Meeple ship in shock and speechless terror. Mephone snapped himself out of it and looked to his contestants and then back to she ship.
"It's like I said before..."
"He always wanted a spaceship...."
