"Thanks..." Herobrine said softly. You turned towards him, shook.
"I.... Finally." You smiled, quickly returning to sip on your soup.
"When I get better...I'll help you outside with the chores.."
"When you get better, you'll leave me alone and never come back." You corrected, venom in your tone. The man's hand then slipped behind your neck, holding itself there sternly around your fragile spine. It was his left hand...the one that was attached to his injured shoulder... He hadn't used that hand all day...
"..I'm going to stay and help you... unless you want to move in with me.. that is." You didn't understand how a threat could sound so casual all at the same time. You fought to keep your heart rate steady. Surely he wasn't actually meaning this as a threat. Though he always had his moments in the past, you knew that was just because of poor social skills and self awareness... Was it..?
"Um.. I... We can wait, until you're feeling better.." Your head dropped, still unsure exactly of the situation you were in. Was he trying to be nice...or mean? You didn't KNOW!
His hand fell away from you, smiling slightly. Then, things returned to normal, as if nothing had even happened..

You had the same nightmare the next time. This time, you asked Herobrine. He just appeared confused, confirming to yourself that it was, indeed, only a nightmare. You struggled less and less as the nightmares continued for a whole week, just wanting them to get over with sooner. A terrible headache began to build in your head, however. One which you feared might be from the stress of the whole ordeal. So one day you clashed against the opinions of Herobrine about returning to the village to finally regain those potions. He was okay with it at first, but for some reason, as more and more time passed it seemed his opinion had again hardened towards the village. Said the village was "too dangerous" now. That "the crime rate was going up" and he couldn't be certain you would be alright. You agreed to stay for only one night longer. If the headache was still there by then, you would leave for the village right away. ...The very next morning, the headaches suddenly faded. Guess...simply voicing your thoughts worked for once..
Herobrine himself wasn't being too much of problem. He seemed to be getting along well with a chunk of iron now permanently imbedded into his flesh. His arrow wounds were doing well, no longer needing to be cleaned. It was just his shoulder now that was the problem... Skin was crawling at a snail's pace back over the open flesh, and the spot had to be cleaned and inspected at least twice a day to make sure the exposed muscle didn't take in any bacteria. So far, all was going well. There WAS however this one strange thing...
You were walking around the small space of your house, feeling much smaller now that there was another human accompanying you in it. Herobrine sat to himself, trying to be easily ignored and out of the way on the couch, so you would have all the space you needed to clean up a bit. The man's face was oddly distant as he sat, a little incorrectly, on the couch facing the window behind it, a thoughtful stare as the man's glowing eyes stared without emotion out at the wilderness. As you passed him by, going from the kitchen room to your bedroom with a box full of stuff, you idly wondered what on earth he could possibly be thinking so deeply about.
About ten minutes later...you got your answer.
'Asparagus... Aspeerāgus... Asparagusso... Ásparájus... Gosh, that word sure is strange...' It felt/sounded like a completely normal thought, but, it wasn't something YOU were thinking about at the time.
It was a crazy thought, but... What if..?
"Asparagus?" You questioned. If he responded the way you expected him to, you would just play it off as you saying a shopping list of yours outside.
