Day after day | Jaeyong

Chapter 19

Soon after Taeyong falls into her lap, dead asleep as well making her chuckle. She turns off the TV and adjusts herself as she lays Sungchan on her chest.

She pats their heads and suddenly a memory she forgot she had invades her mind.

Her, her husband and her daughter sitting exactly like this. She tears up but quickly blinks them away as she runs her hands through their hair.

"Hmm, maybe this isn't too bad." She says before shutting her own eyes and falling asleep, not noticing the small smile on Taeyong's face.

"Sungchan what are you doing?" Taeyong asks as he stirs awake, only to be met with the sight of Sungchan spinning in circles and moving his arms around.

"Dance, like Yongie." He says without stopping making Taeyong giggle.

"Last week of summer, and then it's off to my senior year." Taeyong thinks to himself as he looks at the date displayed on his phone.

"I'm going back to sleep, have fun Sungchan." Taeyong says as he turns around and closes his eyes but groans when he hears his phone ringing.

"This better be important." He mumbles but his annoyance goes away once he sees Jaehyun's name displayed on the screen.

"Yes?"

"Good morning babe, did I wake you?" Jaehyun asks making Taeyong giggle.

"Yeah, but it's okay. I was probably gonna wake up soon anyway." Taeyong says and Jaehyun hums in response.

"Any plans for today?" Jaehyun asks and Taeyong thinks for a second.

"No, not really. You?" Taeyong asks.

"Not much." Jaehyun says and Taeyong ah's before there's a bit of silence between them.

"You want to come over don't you?" Taeyong asks teasingly making Jaehyun chuckle awkwardly.

"You know me so well." Jaehyun says making Taeyong smile softly.

"So am I allowed to come over?" Jaehyun asks making Taeyong roll his eyes.

"...Be here in an hour." Taeyong says and Jaehyun jumps up from his bad.

"I'll be there." Jaehyun says before hanging up with a smile.

"Mom I'm heading out." Jaehyun says and Mrs. Jung raises her eyebrow at him.

"Tell Taeyong I said hi." She says and Jaehyun looks at her before nodding softly making her smile.

"Wow you really made it here in an hour." Taeyong chuckles as he opens the door for Jaehyun. Who stares at him with his mouth agape.

"What? What's wrong?" Taeyong asks and Jaehyun takes a step forward.

"Y-your hair!" Jaehyun shouts and Taeyong giggles.

"Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you."

"YOU FORGOT TO TELL ME?!" Jaehyun shouts as Taeyong laughs even harder.

"What do you think?" Taeyong says as he bites his lip softly with a smile, anticipating Jaehyun's answer.

"I think you look stunning." Jaehyun says making Taeyong smile before pecking the younger's lips.

"Come! We're going to bake a cake." Taeyong says as he drags Jaehyun into the house. The younger looks at Taeyong's outfit before bursting out laughing.

"Are you gonna make me something to eat housewife?" Jaehyun asks and Taeyong glares at him before looking at his outfit. Soft pink shorts, a white t-shirt, a cute little apron and a soft pink headband to keep his hair out of the way.
