You saw.
You saw the tears
streaming down my face.
Like the pour of the rain
blurring my vision of hope, killing my faith.
You saw.
You saw the pain in my eyes.
The shadow behind.
A trapped innocent waiting
for someone
to cut the binds.
You saw.
You saw the suffering
and grief of a soul.
The blood spilled
in the white, blank wall.
You saw.
You saw and yet you chose
to keep your eyes
closed.
