Too Proud
I’m in the corner
Watching you and her
I can see the way you look at her
I can see that she isn’t so into you
I know that watching you,
That you’re afraid of the heartbreak that lurks
But you’re too proud to stay away
You’ll always pursue her
Until she hurts you
‘Cause I know that you’re that kinda guy
You’re too proud to say, “Hey, I can’t take that!”
You’ll always defy common logic
I know that you’ll never see
She was never meant to be
But you’re just that kinda guy
To save myself, I’ll just fly
I don’t wanna cry
‘Cause I always knew
That you never were the angel you pretended to be
You’ll get what’s coming to you
