The tables were filled with your soldiers, all of which watched your arrival with a grin, some even cheering and clapping at your arrival. You smirked as your rolled your eyes at the preposterous reaction before lifting a hand and gently turning it in the air, briefly before dropping back at your side and sauntering across the long room to your supposed seat at the head table.

The high nobility already sat at the table leaving only five seats in the centre free. Of course, your father would take the throne-like seat directly in the centre, you always taking the seat at his left so you made your way there. The loud chatter of the room informed you that the attention was finally off you, meaning you could take your seat without feeling overly watched and uncomfortable.

You took your seat on the overly accented chair and placed your cane to rest against the back of it before fixing your posture to seem formal and presentable. Mannerisms at the beginning of the feast were always important but once the eating started, the majority of those were brushed under a rug and people became as rowdy and informal as they wanted, releasing any tension that was held in the air.

You spent the next few minutes simply admiring the emotions that were held around the room. For the first time in what felt like months, everyone seemed content. Sure, the gathering wasn't for positive reasons but the energy within the room radiated enough positiveness that any negative or fearful feelings for the events to come had been practically forgotten. After all, that was the meaning for these events: to forget and to simply enjoy what could be some of their final moments within the fortress.

Midway through your admiration, the grand doors had once again been opened and the pair that walked through it practically took your breath away. In the doorway, stood Technoblade and Aegeus. The men looked absolutely dashing. It was the only way to describe them. Technoblade wore clothing similar to his regular outfit, though, it was clearly different. Each piece had more detail, more accents and more jewellery. His regular, off-white poet shirt had been replaced with a pure white one, this one with a red jewel on the centre of the silk ruffle in between his collarbones. The red silk continued to stay at his waist, though, without his scabbard connected to it. His regular crown had been replaced with a much smaller one, no doubt to show respect to your father since it was his fortress, after all. The bone mask that usually covered his entire face now had been replaced with a smaller one, though still from the same type of animal, and now freely showed the bottom half of his face allowing his slight fangs to be shown off. Completing the look, he had taken after you and wore an almost absurd amount of gold jewellery to accessorises. His red, fur cloak still sat on his shoulders, billowing behind him as he strode across the room. What you couldn't take your eyes off though, was his hair. Usually, it had always been tied off into a low ponytail at the base of his neck in a somewhat messy fashion but now it had been set loose, falling across the back of his cloak and across his chest. It was magnificent.

Aegeus wore clothing similar to his business partner, yet, not as extreme as Technoblade's. He wore an off-white poet shirt with a green jewel on his collar with identical red silk tied around his waist. His bone mask was no longer on his face but now tied around the silk at his waist. He obviously didn't have the cloak of his friend, nor the spectacular hair but instead, he had gems planted across his face in a specific pattern you had sworn you had seen before, though, you couldn't remember where from.

The two royally marched across the room and made their way around the head table and took their seats, Technoblade at your side with Aegeus taking the seat next to him. Technoblade nodded in your direction as he sat in a greeting as he was aware of the eyes watching him. If he seemed too friendly with you at this moment, rumours were sure to be spread and you understood. It's why you had very few close friends in the army.
