Verdict of Love: The Father

"Your father told me about your marriage"

"You met him?" Yerein curiously inquired.

"Yes"

"I am glad you are alive" Yerein buried the topic about her marriage. She wanted to know on how the man escaped his death.

"Well it is hard to die when you didn't fulfill your mission yet"

"Did they assign you here?"Yerein looked at him and observed his uniform,she noticed something was lacking on it"You have only one badge captain"

"I forgot to bring it all " The devil captain's dead alibi

"Are you allowed to do that?"

"I am a rule breaker Yerein"

"Because of me"

"No I chose my destiny,speaking of destiny who is that unfortunate man?"

"Huh?"

"Your future husband"

"A loyal friend" the woman answered with full of sadness and lack of enthusiasm. The reason why she didn't want to talk about it because there were so many things happening inside her head. Remembering herself as soon to be wife would just add to her anxiety.

"A friend?" The captain pressed the topic after noticing that his woman was not fond to indulge on the fiancé's story.

"Yes"

"I couldn't sense any romantic feelings"

Yerein just stayed silent. She just let the wind make a sound.

"Do you love him?"He finally asked what he was dying to ask.

"My father favored him" Yerein replied with void feelings

"Do you love him?" he asked again because he didn't receive the answer that he wanted to hear

"My family is close to him"another empty answer produced by Yerein

"Do you love him?" He was testing the woman's patience.

"My mother treated him like a son" and this time Yerein was so close on throwing the captain outside the fence because of his useless question.

"Do you love him?" He was a warrior that never retreated and he was owning the fearless title at the moment thru repeating the arduous question

"It doesn't matter if I love him or not,what is important now is I can make my family happy"

"If you can sacrifice your happiness for others,why you didn't do it for Jarannya?"

"I can sacrifice for goodness not for wickedness"

"So after I saved you,this is still the life you will choose,you will marry the man you don't love?"

"Don't worry about me,this is the real world,in here you are not the captain anymore" Yerein acidly proclaimed,she wanted to stop the captain from inquiring further because she was afraid that she would unintentionally open her fragile and delicate soul in front of the man.

"Really? Did you forget in Allah's grace I was able to revive your innocence and bring you to the real world again"

"And I am always thankful for that,but don't make it more difficult for me"

"Am I nothing to you?"
His question was out of the context but he was asking if he was relevant to her.

"Captain?"

"Huh Yerein?"

"This is not about you,this is about me,of course you are important to me"but for Yerein it was wrong to ask the captain to save her all the time,if she would ask the captain to remove her from this marriage proposal she was putting her burden again to him."They are my family I can't afford to disappoint them"

"So you are going to disappoint yourself? The reason why Jarannya betrayed you because of your exaggerated kindness"

"You don't need to remind me of my past,go back to your office"

"If....if I am going to propose will you reject your father's choice?"
Yerein had no idea that the man was already proposing using his own language of love.

"This is wrong; you alread broke your oath for me,risked your life for me,please don't give me your soul,you deserve to be happy...you deserv---"

"He deserves you,the man who saved and protected you deserves your heart"

"Papa"

"Boy you didn't tell me that it was you"

"Sir" Kamzan short and humble reply to the old man

"She cried when she heard the news that there was a blast in your place,I really thought you died boy" The father witnessed the agony of his child on the day the big explosion happened. He thought that it was not only the Blue Shield Camp which being shook that day but also her daughter's faith and hope.

"Papa"

"My poor child it is him right? I saw that time,when your body was frozen and your tears were flowing,and when I asked you what happened, and you told me "you lost your hero",it is him right?"

"Ye..yes" Yerein finally admitted.
