The Arcada

Carlos POV
(OOOOO something new!)

I sit up and look around. I'm bored out of my mind right now. Some fun sounds nice, obviously. I sit and think, an arcada! Yeah, I'll go to an arcada with someone! But who? I guess I could go with Andres. I pull out my phone and text him.

CARLOS:
Hey.

ANDRES:
Yooo

CARLOS:
Wanna go to the arcada with me? I might be takin someone else too, Idk tbh.

ANDRES:
Sure man.

CARLOS:
Alright cya there?

ANDRES:
Bet

I stand up and dust myself off. But it feels so I dunno, incomplete without someone else, but who else would I go with? "Hey, Carlos!" I hear a voice say to me, I look over to see Mirabel. Her! I'll take her with us! "Hey, Mira! Uh, wanna come with me to the arcada?" She looks at me confused, looks up then nods. "What was that all about?" I ask, she rolls her eyes jokingly, I hope. "Well, you never invite me anywhere, what's the catch?" Mirabel asks, I roll my eyes. "There is none, well... Andres is gonna be there but that's it," Mirabel looks at me and shrugs. "Kay, let me go change, give me 10 minutes, alright?" She says, I nod. "Yeah, I can wait, take your time," I say, leaning onto the railing. "Okay," She says, walking off.

9 minutes later she comes back in a new dress I haven't seen before. "Alright ready," She says, I nod. "Where did you get that dress from?" I ask, Mirabel shrugs. "I made it, it's basically your color palette made into a dress," Mira says, I nod. We walk downstairs and leave for the arcade. We make it there and I hand Mirabel a 20 dollar bill. "If you need more money for more coins let me know," I say, walking off, I see Mirabel heading straight for the coin booth. I see Andres and wave him over. "Hey man, did you bring that girl there cause da-" I glare at him, he looks at me and stays quiet. "Uh..." He says, I fully turn to him. "No, go on. Finish your sentence," I raise an eyebrow, he gulps. "I meant to say, she's really pretty!" He says, I nod. "Yeah, that's my cousin," Andres nods. "Yeah, you guys look similar," He says, I nod. "Welp, let's go play some games, yeah?" Andres nods.

27 MINUTES LATER

I wave to Andres, he's leaving since I will too soon. I look over to Mirabel who seemingly is playing a killing game. I walk over to her, "Hey when you get done, come over to the ticket booth," I say, "Mhm, DIE!" She shouts, she is way too into that game. I leave and walk over to the ticket booth. "Here to get a prize for that girl you were talking to?" Asks the man at the counter. "Is it that obvious?" I ask, the guy laughs. "Yeah, she your girlfriend or something?" I just stare at him. "That's my cousin dude," I say, grossed out. He looks at me silently. "Oh my god dude- I am so sorry- I just assumed," I roll my eyes and hand him the 10,000 tickets. "Give me the dinosaur," He nods and walks over to the display and takes it down, and walks back over to me. "Here," He hands it to me, I nod and wait. Mirabel walks over. "Hey, Carlos! Good job at getting that! I never really took you as a dino guy, to be honest," Mirabel says, I shrug. "I'm not," I hand her the dino. "It's for you," She takes it and smiles. "Aw thanks, I wish I would've gotten you something," She looks around then look at her pocket she takes something out and hands it to me. It's a butterfly clip. "I'll get you something better tomorrow!"
