Forgotten

Becoming one of them

I was allowed out of the cell after they decided I wouldn't be a threat and I had to keep a promise I  wouldn't attack anyone again if I wanted to become one of them. After I was let out I was allowed to go with oscar and he would show me around. He led me outside to the courtyard where there was water barrels and and a small shelter held up by four huge wooden pillars and a metal sheet over the top we went under the shelter and there were benches and tables and a place for cooking barrels filled with fruit and a set of cupboards they must have taken from a house. Oscar notices me looking and he opens them they are filled with food "You want some?" he says I nod and he throws me a packet of crisps "Where did you get all this food?" I ask "When the wall was first put up they around the houses collecting what they could picking up people on the way, then they found this place and started growing crops, fruit,veg. After that they sent people out hunting they found pigs brought them back some people even found horses and dogs that we now use to help the hunting" He explains "Come on I will show you where we keep the animals" he says and I nod. He takes me around the other side of the prison and as we turn the corner we go past a cage with about six dogs inside they all start barking when they see us I stop and start petting them through the bars "Pick one" Oscar says behind me "What?" I'm kinda surprised with his question "I'm gonna try and convince Jacob to let you come hunting with us, I mean you'll need training and it might be hard since Jacob doesn't let any of the girls come on runs or hunts and especially because you're an insider" "Jacob?" I ask Oscar forgets I've been locked in cell the whole time I've been here "he leads the hunts and runs or he picks people to go out thats how fred and caleb found you" oscar explains and I nod and look back at the dogs I see a german shepard at the back of the cage "Is that one taken?" I say and I point to it Oscar kneels next to me "No he's not" he says "daithi is his name but he is hard to train no one can get him to listen.So this is the one you want?" he says "Yes" I reply "alright lets go see the horses then" He says and I stand up and follow him to where the horses are. I stand up on the fence and a few of the horses come up to me "I suppose you want me to choose one of these too" I say and Oscar nods I look around the field and spot a jet black horse "that one" I say "really well good luck then missy" says a voice and I turn around and see a muscular guy walking towards us he stops and stands next to oscar "hey Jacob" Oscar says "Who is this" he answers "This is raven" says Oscar as I jump down from the fence "Oh so you're the girl that Oscar kept going on about I heard when you saw him you punched him" he says smirking oscar scratches the back of his head embarrassed,I fold my arms "Yeah so what" I say raising an eyebrow Jacob just laughs "Caleb was right about you" he says walking away "how so" I say and Jacob turns around "he said you were feisty" and he walks away. "Come on lets get some dinner" says Oscar and we both leave

Oscars P.O.V

After dinner I left Raven with Sarah who said she would show her around the rest of the prison while I went to go talk to Jacob about raven.

"I am not letting that insider in our group! she has no training" says Jacob

"She has experience with killing rotters and before the wall she used to go hunting she is a good a shot as any" I protest

"The boy's right Jacob I've seen her with her bow the night we found her" says Fred

"No. She is a girl which means she is weaker than us and can we even trust her.She is good with a bow and arrow but she doesn't have training with guns we would need to train her?" Man Jacob can be such a sexist asshole

"I don't think we can trust her first she tries to kill me when we try and help her and then when she sees Oscar she almost breaks his nose" Caleb says joining Jacobs side

"If I wanted to kill you, you would be dead" says a voice and we look to the doorway to the cells and standing there is Raven "If I killed you, Fred wouldn't have taken me back so I settled with scaring your face" she says walking up to us "I have the experience killing things I am a good shot my brother taught me the basics to a gun, I know how to hunt and I can ride horses you just don't me to come along because you're a sexist asshole"she says looking Jacob in the eye, Jacob stands up I hold my breath thinking he is going to hurt her, no one stands up to Jacob like that but Raven just raises her eyebrow and Jacob smirks "you know what I like you, and if Oscar is willing to teach you how to shoot properly you can join us" he looks at me "sure I will teach her" he looks back at Raven "then you can join but if you screw up big time it will have consequences" and then he walks out. 

"Better get some rest training starts early tomorrow" I say and raven leaves to her cell block
