Chapter 63

-William-

I place Layla on the stage carefully as the children surrounds her.
"We didn't know you that you were going to bring her here Mr. Afton!"Susie said as she places a finger on Layla's hand.
"I thought that you all might want to see her again,so i thought why not bring her here"

"Hey Will! I need help with something!"Liam yelled from my office.
"Alright! I'm coming! Can you guys look after Layla for a few minutes? I need to help Liam with something"
"Oh sure!"Jeremy said.

I thanked them before making my way to my office.

-no one-

The children brings Layla to the parts and service room where their toys are.
"Ooh! Jeremy we should show her the bunny toy that you have!"Susie said.
"Oh okay!"

Jeremy digs through the pile of toys before he eventually finds the bunny plush.
It's a black and green bunny that William got for him.
He gives the plush to Layla as she looks at it with interest.

"Is she just going to look at it or what?"Cassidy asked.
She began shaking the bunny plush with her hand as she laughs.
"Yeah no. She is just as crazy as the bastard"
"Cass! Don't call Mr. Afton that!"Fritz said.
"Whatever Fritz"

Layla suddenly starts to cry as Susie tries to calm her down by rocking her back and forth which isn't working.
"Guys! What do we do!? Do we tell Mr. Afton!?"Susie says with panic in her voice.
"Obviously.what other options do we have?"Gabriel says.
"But Mr. Afton is helping Mr. Cordega right now.that means he is busy"Fritz says.
"Uhm..maybe she is hungry? We can try and find food for her in the kitchen"Susie said while desperately trying to calm Layla down.
"I'll come with you,i know what babies should eat"Jeremy said.
"Me too"Fritz said.
"Okay then, Cassidy please hold her for a few minutes,we will be right back"

"Wait what-"
Before she even finishes her sentence,Susie hands Layla carefully to her.
"Don't worry we won't be long!"Susie said before she walks out of the room with the others leaving Gabriel and Cassidy alone.
"Oh this is just great! I'm holding the bastard's baby and she is crying right now!"
"Hmm..maybe she is bored?try and entertain her"
"Entertain her?Gabe. I'm not a television"

He sighs before he picks Layla up from Cassidy.
He starts making funny faces as Cassidy looks at him dumbfounded.
"Gabe. What the hell are you doing."
"Entertaining her.duh"
"That's how you entertain a baby?"
"I mean..i saw that people do it on the internet once"

Layla starts to calm down as Gabriel rocks her back and forth gently.
"Finally she stopped crying"Cassidy said as she picks Layla up from Gabriel.
Susie and the others comes back in the room with a bottle of milk in Susie's hand.

"Oh?she already stopped crying"Jeremy said.
"Maybe we should still give her the milk.she could still be hungry"Susie said.
"We should probably ask Mr. Afton first.."Fritz said.

-Liam-

I stopped kissing William as there is knock on the door.
William gets off the desk as he fixes his tie and shirt.
I open the door as i see Susie holding Layla who is asleep in her arms.

"Uhm Mr. Cordega..she fell asleep"
"Oh she must've been tired.."
I pick Layla up from Susie as she stirs in her sleep.
"Thank you for looking after her Susie"
"Of course Mr. Cordega"

She walks away and i close the door.
"Well our alone time got ruined"William says while leaning on the desk.
"Pfft- You wanna continue later?"
"What! No! You know what let's just go back to working the blueprint"
"But what about Layla though?"
"Give her to me,i can still work while carrying her"
