"Always, dear, always." and she hugged you once again.

You both sat down and ate, and once you finished, you quickly changed into the blue spider lily kimono, and secretly took out the matching hair pin, hiding it from any prying eyes, and you put in the earrings.

You grabbed your phone and checked the time, 8:18, 42%.

Taking a long, deep breath, you walked out the door saying one final goodbye to your Okaasan.

'Alright, let's do this.'

You went to the town quickly and looked for the burgundy haired boy, you doubted he'd be down here yet, but you never knew.

Scanning your surroundings quickly, you spotted a familiar area.

'This is where he'll arrive first, I'll wait here. "

You walked slower to the area, and you calmed yourself.

'Maybe an hour or so?'

You waited near a small bakery.

The delicious smell intoxicated your senses.

'No, I can't get distracted by such idiotic things.'

You moved away from said shop and more towards the path where Tanjiro would arrive from.

Secretly checking your phone, its been around an hour and a half since you first left.

" *Groan* I didn't think it'd take this long.. "

You looked around for bit, not wandering far from your original spot.

Nothing caught your eye, so you went to return to your spot when you noticed the boy you were waiting for.

Walking towards him, you simply stood next to him and he noticed you.

"Y/n? what are you doing?"

"I wanna walk with you today, is that alright?"

"Always, but are you sure? This is probably gonna take a while, possibly all day"

"I'm sure, if it gets super late, I can just spend the night with you, right?"

"I mean, yeah.." He shyly said.

A few people greet him and start asking for coal until-

"TANJIRO! You gotta help me!"

'yikes, that guy, he looks a lot worse when you see it in person.'

"They think I broke, this come on! give it a sniff!"

"Yep, smells like a cat!"

"You see?! It wasn't me!" the guy said.

After selling all the coal, you both finally made your way up the mountain.

"Are you sure you don't just want me to walk you home?"

"Nahhh, it's fine."

Slowly he nodded and we bith continued before we heard

"Tanjiro!"

You both looked over at the source of the voice.

"Come on, stay in for the night, there's demons"

'he said that so dramatically, he knew he was on camera and he nailed it'

Tanjiro finally gave in after a bit of denying, and both of you went into his small house.

You both sat down and ate the food he gave yoi two.

You ate a bit slower than Tanjiro, making sure to be polite.

"Thank you"

"You're welcome, your futons are over there."

You finished up and followed quickly behind Tanjiro to your own futon.

"Saburo? You mentioned demons? "

"Yes, i did, man eating demons."

"Man eating?"

"Yes, they eat humans and they terrorize people, they come out at night"

"If they eat humans, can't they break in and eat all of us?"

"Yes, but slayers kill them with a special sword. That's all goodnight" he said and he blew out the lantern.

You're anxiety grew at what you knew you would see when you woke up.

In all honesty, you didn't want fall asleep, but the amount of energy it took to walk all around town, your eyes closed against your will and you fell asleep.
