Ji Eun was never one to enjoy crowds and partying. But she usually got through them by sticking close to Yo Han and muttering sarcastic comments to him. But not tonight.

Yo Han handed Ji Eun out of the car before moving to help Jin Joo. Ji Eun had expected him to offer Jin Joo his arm, seeing as she was the younger and also since it was her first time attending such an event, but Jin Joo subtly shook her head and nodded to Ji Eun. Yo Han took the hint and with a slight bow of his head, moved back to Ji Eun and held out his hand.

Ji Eun looked up in slight surprise but smiled as she put her hand in his, allowing him to place it on his arm. Jin Joo followed them down the carpet, sticking to Ji Eun's side, feeling slightly intimidated by the grandeur of everything. Even when the reporters surrounded them, asking questions, she seemed to feel herself to be out of place, though she did look like she was enjoying herself. Ji Eun couldn't help but like her all the more for it.

She even complied when they called out for her to pose.

"She is a natural at broadcast, we won't have to worry about Judge Oh." A reporter smiled before he held the mic out to Yo Han.

"A question for Kang Yo Han and Song Ji Eun. The citizens are supporting you and looking up to you, if you could speak to the citizens right now?"

"We are very grateful for your encouragement and support. I understand the feeling of those who are cheering us on. Whatever obstacle I face, I will fight with everything I have, to achieve a world in which justice is alive."

He turned with a smile, taking Ji Eun's hand in his arm once more. Jin Joo took it as her cue to follow them.

"Show off," Ji Eun teased under her breath.

"Most definitely so, darling."

"Drama Queen."

"I have no idea what you're talking about." She looked out of the corner of her eyes to find him smiling down at her. Realising he caught her looking, she immediately snapped her gaze away, cheeks heating into a brilliant rose red.

Jin Joo knew she was third wheeling hard but she couldn't help but admire her seniors, especially Ji Eun. A man who had a reputation for being cold, insensitive and harshly logical, was wrapped completely around her finger and she could tell he knew it himself.

And she could tell from the way he held her, delicately yet protectively, that there was something more than just friendship that brought them so close together.

As they stepped off the elevator and went down the red carpeted stairs, Ji Eun laughed, actually laughed out loud at something Yo Han told her. Ji Eun didn't catch the look of surprised delight and self satisfaction on his face, but Jin Joo did.

He looked back at Jin Joo, and the look vanished into polite concern and friendliness. "You can go ahead and look around first. Ji Eun and I have someone to greet."

"How was he different?" Ga On asked the priest who had made the comment he had tracked down.

Kang Yo Han, the teacher wrote in Korean on the board before turning to the class. Beside her stood the owner of the name, wearing a dark, apprehensive look on his thin face.

"His expression was dark. And he didn't talk much."

"Will you introduce yourself? Your friends will want to know you." The teacher spoke gently.
