Ch 3:Progress

I walked around with Buneary through the village because we didn't know where everything was.

Buneary:(Hey Ryuu. How come you haven't given me a name yet?)

Ryuu:' I'm trying to think of a name. '

Buneary:(Oh. Okay.)

I walked around and saw someone working with Vanilla and that's when it hit me.

Ryuu:' How about Vanilla? '

Buneary:(Vanilla?)

Ryuu:' You're sweet like Vanilla plus you helped me when I was knocked out. '

Buneary:(Alright then. From today on I'm Vanilla.)

Ryuu:' Alright. Let's go see Professor Laventon now. I heard he had something specialized for me. '

She nodded and we ran towards the main building, but before entering the door I ran into someone.

Ryuu:' I'm sorry. '

???:Who said that?

Ryuu:' Down here. '

She looked down at me and I wagged my tail.

???:Are you the one who was talking to me?

Ryuu:' Yeah. My name is Ryuu. Nice to meet you. '

???:I'm Irida leader of the Pearl Clan. It's nice to meet you too.

For some reason I was just enjoying being held by Irida. I wagged my tail happily.

Vanilla:(Ryuu! We need to see Professor Laventon. Remember?)

Ryuu:' Oh! That's right! Hey Irida. Do you mind putting me down? I need to see Professor Laventon. '

Irida:Yeah sorry.

She puts me down and opened the door as Vanilla and I ran inside.

Professor Laventon:It's good to see you Ryuu. I have officially started to work on those specialized Poke balls for you.

Ryuu:' Alright. Just don't loose sleep over it. Take your time and don't rush it I'm not evolved yet. '

Professor Laventon:Alright.

Vanilla tilted her head in confusion.

Vanilla:(What does he mean by specialized Poke balls for you?)

Ryuu:' Well I'm a part of Team Galactic as both a Pokémon and a Pokémon Trainer since I use this to be human. For now I'm a Pokémon, but after I evolve I'll be a trainer. '

Vanilla:(Oh. I see.)

Ryuu:' Well. Let's do find Akari and head out to train with each other. '

Vanilla:(Alright.)

???:Are you two heading out to wild to train?

We turned to see Irida again and she kneeled down to eye level with us.

Irida:I know the perfect place where you can train in the village.

Vanilla:Buneary?(Really? Where?)

Ryuu:' I appreciate the thought but as part of the Galactic Team I'm both a Pokémon and Trainer, and right now I need to evolve so I can train Vanilla and catch more Pokémon of my own. '

Irida:Oh. I see. Sorry...

Ryuu:' Don't be. I like knowing that people will care about my well being. '

I wagged my tail to prove I'm telling the truth.

Irida:Then how about I help you evolve by facing and Alpha Pokémon?

Ryuu:' A-alpha Pokémon?! '

I backed up scared knowing that I almost dyed again to one a week or more ago.

Irida:What's wrong?

Ryuu:' I don't want to face another alpha Pokémon. I nearly dyed to one. '

Irida:A-alright calm down. We don't need to face one then. How about we find your trainer and we have a battle?

I thought about it for a little bit then nodded.

Ryuu:' Alright. '

I hopped on to Irida's shoulder and Vanilla lead Irida to Akari.

Akari:There you two are.

I hopped to Akari's shoulder and nuzzled her cheek.

Irida:I have to ask. Are you Ryuu's trainer?

Akari:Yeah.

Irida:I heard that Ryuu needs to evolve in order to become a trainer, and I would like to help by challenging you to a battle.

Akari:Alright. I'm game let's do it. Ready Ryuu?

Ryuu:' I was reborn ready. '

Akari:Then go!

Akari pointed her finger then I jumped off her arm and took a battle stance. Irida threw out a Glaceon which also took a battle stance.

{Ryuu's moves:Fury Swipes, Hone Claws, Detect, and Taunt}

Akari:Use Taunt!

I taunted by saying four words.

Ryuu:' Bring it on Glaceon. '

Irida:Use Ice beam!

Glaceon charged at me then used Ice Beam.

Akari:Hone Claws!

I dodged the Ice Beam then sharpened my claws.

Irida:Use Quick Attack!

The Glaceon charged at me hitting me hard. I got up and grit my teeth.

Akari:Use Fury Swipes!

I hit the Glaceon five consecutive times doing critical damage on the last hit.

Akari:Use Detect!

I took a defensive stance.

Irida:Use Ice Beam.

{You all know what happened next Ryuu protected himself.}

Akari:Fury swipes!

I hit Glaceon four times then she fainted.

Irida:Great battle. Both of you.

Akari:Thanks. You too.

Ryuu:' Not gonna lie. You're Glaceon gave me a run for my money. '

Irida and Akari chuckled at my comment.

Irida:Well. I wish you luck on evolving Ryuu, and have safe travels. You and Akari both.

Ryuu:' Thanks. '

She walked off and Akari, Vanilla, and I went to the wild area.
