After meeting with Maisha up in Starbucks we had come across Aiya, her hair was straightened and left out she had smelt like Gucci guilty grasping onto her louis Vuitton purse which pressed against her Dior scarf she approached us trying to make us smile. Aiya was a great friend of ours we decided to resume with the meeting over dinner at Aiya's farmhouse. We dined eating caviar alongside some freshly baked potatoes. Lunch was appetizing. The Miah's residence was quite empty which once was lively and full of joy, now engulfed by darkness and dismay. There was a slight delay for Kayden to retrieve a phone call from our designer Amanda. Traffic had built up on the M1 as there was an accident where two cars had collided causing mass destruction. Two bodies were devastatingly injured, leaving their faces unidentified. I sent out my team to run a few checks upon the registration plate. A young couple from Swansea, both aged 26 with a one-year-old toddler, left dead leaving their child alone in this cruel world unaware of the danger lurking outside. Life was certainly harsh with an exclusive package of unexpected troubles and pain. I had certainly received the premium plan.
Suddenly my phone began to ring, it was Ariana, I could not be bothered to answer the call. Katherine looked at me gesturing to retrieve the call. I left the farmhouse and had taken the call. "Hey, said Ariana." I responded in a formal manner. She had asked me about my travels in France and how Maisha had been coping with the news of Iris's current physical status knowing that I did not seem normal she had asked as to how I was. "I'm fine thank you for asking I am slightly occupied now by unfinished business it's nice to know that you are in good health." I exclaimed. We had a noticeably short conversation. I did not know that she was coming back home to Kensington that too of such short notice with such little time to prepare for the launch. I needed to choose outfits for the shoot as well as a matching car and vibe. The events were based in Norway up near the hillsides. The breeze in Norway was so refreshing along with the misty air that tasted like salt water when it hit the tip of your tongue. I could not wait to visit. After moments of thinking to myself I had gone back to the farmhouse and had casually rejoined the dining table. "We have a guest that shall be joining us shortly, I'm certain that you all shall enjoy her company for she is a very good friend of ours, but I shall leave you all to guess who..." Said Aiya.
We all looked up at her in confusion. Who could she be referring to? Kayden received a notification, left his seat, and went to the front of the farmhouse. I slowly followed. "Hello love, exclaimed Kayden, "Haven't seen you in some time but damn you're looking as beautiful as always." The girl was laughing as well as blushing whilst holding Kay's hand. "I'd like to introduce you to Maya, the love of my life and soon to be fiancé." Said Kayden while looking into Mayas eyes. I congratulated them both as they smiled and thanked me. I felt happy for Kayden. Maya seemed like a nice person. Slightly shorter than Kayden with a brummies' accent which sounded posh for someone from Birmingham, she had deep brown hair, dull brown eyes, and a captivating smile, she looked healthy. The perfect match for Kayden, they both looked like an ideal hot couple off love island. I moved to a side clearing their path. Noticing Maisha ran up to her and hugged Maya firmly as they both laughed with joy. Then it came to my realization that Maya was Maisha's best friend. Maiya greeted her in and assigned her to a seat just next to Kayden. He pulled out her chair for her as she sat down then he sat down. They both were incredibly happy together. Maisha was being her usual annoying self and third wheeling like a child leading myself and Katherine to laugh. It was getting late, Kayden called an uber for me and Kathie. We left after a few minutes while being rudely disturbed by an old rival, we all disliked. What a mood spoiler.
I could taste the salty air as the mist from the sea as it pressed against my lips. It was a cold December afternoon I watched the docks come in from the sea as the tides rose crashing onto the shore. My hair waved in rhythm of the wind. I was quite tired as I had a restless night, unable to sleep or eat. It was as though I was coming down with the flu. My nose was red and stuffy which made me look much like Rudolph. Then it happened. Josie looked up at me in astonishment, unsure of finding the right words. I lowered my gaze and walked off. I had never felt so ashamed in my whole life. What was I honestly thinking?! Had I completely lost my mind? What did I aim to achieve? All I had was a lead of dead ends. Nothing made any literal sense. Nothing added up. Everything was just so wrong it was like the pieces to the puzzle were left unsolved... Words left untold, being placed on hold. I never even wanted to go home. Sad, that is what I was just sad and sick of life. I wanted to cry but yes, I tried. Going home would make me feel overwhelmed. My life had its enthusiasm completely sucked out of it. The blue skies above turned grey like the color of the smoke that came out of factories. What was in store for me next. For now, I had to lay low and blend in without being suspicious. It was hard to remember the last time id had a normal day of my not so normal life. The world felt like it was just upside down unable to complete its daily rotation. "Al-moad can muqurra lothlatha masa hudha al-massa." ( الموعد كان مقررا لثلاثة مساء هذا المساء) I exclaimed in Arabic. Meaning the appointment has been scheduled for three pm this afternoon. My assistant for the jewelers spoke Arabic, which I was fluent in. It was time for me to get a grip and work out as to what father was up to.
