Hi this is my first story so don't expect it to be great

There wasn't always a war clouding our judgement but you know how these things turn out people are always looking to blame other for there problems it's just a thing all living things do. It's like breathing or eating you know but sometimes I close my eyes and imagine what the great war was like, I mean if you could call it great it was really just saddens and blood shed from both sides. I grew up listening to story of the war, trying to find out more about it but I still couldn't figure out what happened to the princess it was hard since when ever you mentioned the war every one just said "it's the elves fault, barbarians the lot of them" them saying that was getting boring hearing the same thing over and over again. I was sick of it I'm not a kid anymore so why won't they just tell me the truth because I'm ready for it.

"Look mother I want to know about the war" I said determined.
"In time, my dear you will learn" she said in a soft voice.
"But I want to learn now" I said not giving up.
"Your still a child" she said firmly.
"No I'm not I'm 14 now and don't say that it's still hard to talk about because it's been 10 years since we got sent here" I said
"How many time do I have to tell you it was the elves fault and there's nothing more to it" she said finally snapping
"But there's got to be more to it, you see I found an old book in the library the other day that dated back to before the war and it said about how in the olden day the elves were peaceful creat-" I got cut off
"PEACEFUL CREATURE" she said "they were an evil race and the world is better without them." This time I knew I had to just walk away again but I couldn't give up I had to find out what had happened. I just had to.
So I continued reading my book hoping for the answers I need.

There were 4 different types of elves each one representing a different element nature, fire, water and air they were all kind and only attacked if provoked. They mostly kept to themself but they all had an alliance with one another they enjoyed living near their element for example the fire elves lived near mount Zaffon a huge volcano and the water elves lived at the isle of true-self located far out at sea people say if you look into the the spring located at the center of the isle you will see your true-self. The nature elves live in the Zana rainforest. The air elves lived on last-breath mountain it is the highest mountain in the entire world and no one other then them has ever seen there home many have Reyes but as the name suggests they took there last breath and were never heard from again. The elves can usually only control one type of element each but the royal family can control all four.
The elves are only one type of the supernatural beings that inhabit this extraordinary world. There are also dragons, fairies and half-animals. Each one of these creatures having it own unique powers that we may never even begin to understand.

This is amazing I can't believe the world had this much magic in too bad it was gone. I don't think I'll ever get the truth about what happened from anyone round here.
