"JUST KEEP RUNNING!" A voice yelled in distance. A crowd of ponies were running past her in a panic, pushing and tripping over each other desperately trying to flee. There were so many of them, screaming and shouting around her, practically flooding the streets. Rushing to get away from something, or someone. Sunny looked around in pure confusion, startled by the sudden commotion she seemed to find herself in.

"What's going on?" Sunny wondered. "Why is everyone in such a hurry? And why can't I talk?"

Suddenly, a loud boom erupted into her ears and shaking the ground. The sky turned red, the clouds to black, and the ponies ran even faster. She turned around out of curiosity and gasped in absolute horror. Her eyes widen, her jaw dropped, as she saw the terrible sight before her. Now she knew why they were running, the were running from the fire. What Sunny assumed used to be a castle, was destroyed by the smoke and flames practically surrounding the building, ingulfing it into total destruction. She was horrified, but yet somehow felt her hooves moving towards the castle.

"Wait- no! I don't wanna go over there, stop it!" Yet her legs kept on running. She ran and ran and ran. Past the guards, past civilians, and past a group of peculiar faces she had never seen before but couldn't help but sense they were important. All the way up the bridge and to the entrance, which wasn't so hard to get into since the door had already been busted open. With a halt, she stopped and peered into the dark path that led inside. While she didn't want to go in there, being out here wasn't much better either.

Slamming what was left of the door behind her, she took a moment to catch her breath, trying to process what she'd just seen. As she calmed down, she crept quietly down the hall, the sounds of her hooves echoing across the walls. The place was a mess. Ripped curtains, broken windows, and dirt all over the floor. Nothing but her and the muffled sounds of terror from outside.

"What is happening!? Oh man, am I in the middle of a war or something? I am really freaking out right now."

A lot of the windows around her were portraits of some kind, though she couldn't tell what of. Most of them were in shatters and fractures, or just completely destroyed, but she seemed to make out most of them. Warriors and heroes defeating a mighty foe and claiming victory with victorious stances and smiling faces, some of those faces even seemed familiar to her, though she couldn't understand why.

It all felt so strange, faces flew by in instants. In blurs or distorted, but no matter the look she always knew them somehow. Like a strange sense of deja vou. She had felt like that all day it had seemed. Strangers zooming by in flashes, showing up in different places like a rewind. She didn't know these creatures, and yet they kept showing up around her, like ghosts.

"Wait... am I-"

"Your majesty, there you are!" Another voice yelled.

She looked over and saw what looked like a blue bird? Or maybe an eagle? She couldn't tell what he was, especially wearing all that armor, but he appeared to be some sort of lion eagle, what an odd creature she thought. Once again, she couldn't see his face either, only static.

"Your majesty you have to get out of here right away, the castle is no longer safe!" He exclaimed.

"I- um- ah-"

"I didn't come here to be safe." She heard herself say. "I came to fight, Monica's gone too far this time. I won't let her get away with this!"

"Surely you don't intend on fighting her alone?" The guard asked with concern.

"I'm more than capable of defending myself. Besides this is my fight, no one else's. I have to face her alone. I'll stall her for as long as I can while you call in the troops to retreat. We have to activate our emergency protocols and evacuate the city as quickly as possible before anyone else can get hurt, I'll handle Monica."
