Her "favorite" color was yellow, her clothes, her bedroom walls, even her violin was yellow. They always claimed that they loved yellow because it symbolizes happiness, a warm blanket that shields away the negative emotions. She hated yellow. They way it coated her room obnoxiously, the way it dirtied quickly. She wanted to rid herself of such a sensitive color. "Happiness?" What an absolute joke. The color only made her angry, furious. She tore the wallpaper from her walls, and smashed her violin. How could she continue to live with a color such as yellow? It never brought her happiness, it was only a taunt. A cruel joke.
She grew with the color yellow because she hoped she'd receive the "happiness" this color was associated with. The joy, and glory of having fun and making friends. Now, she was on her knees crying and screaming, tearing things apart. She couldn't do it anymore, why doesn't she ever get what she wants? She stared in anger at the yellow that surrounded her, soon allowing it to become stained in a beautiful red, a red she dreamed of seeing. And she did, but it was only for those last few moments.
