“Why in such a hurry Riddle?” Asked Sirius ‘How did he know my name?’ Arianna asked herself ‘Oh yeah Slughorn forgot about that.’ Arianna got her bag and stood up facing a smirking Sirius.

“What else then to get away from you Black.” She spat and left, but she didn’t head to their classroom just yet, she headed to the Great Lake and sat under a tree. ‘It’s still early anyway, I need to cool off.’ She told herself. As she was just sitting there and staring at the lake she looked at her wrist, she missed the feeling of her bracelet she had it since she was born.

As she just sat there in peace, she was soon disturbed

“I didn’t know you approved of cutting class.” Arianna turned around and saw Sirius leaning on the tree and staring down at her smirking, she rolled her eyes got her things and stood up

“You don’t know two things about me” she whispered, “I don’t, Why are you here?”

“Doing what you’re doing skipping class.” He said causally

“Like I said I wasn’t I’m trying to get some air and cool my head off.” She said coolly

“And why were you doing that?” Sirius asked as if he didn’t know the obvious

“I don’t know I was trying to get away from this conceited little prat.” She was starting to walk away now

“I’ve observed you like walking out on people.” Sirius easily caught up with her

“Like I said you don’t know even know two things about me.” Arianna snapped

“Yes I do,” Sirius smirked “You’re a girl and your last name’s Riddle.”

Arianna rolled her eyes

“What do you even want with me?” She asked as they were walking, they were nearing the classroom now “You just wouldn’t stop will you?”

Sirius just smirked as Arianna opened the classroom door, Slughorn had already started and they were late.

“How very nice of you to grace us with your presence Mr. Black and Ms. Riddle,” Slughorn said “Go take your seats.” Arianna got to her seat beside that Ravenclaw boy she was beside yesterday, and like yesterday Sirius took the seat beside her.

“Ms. Riddle, you are late! And it’s only on your second day!” Slughorn scolded “And you even got in trouble-“

But before Slughorn could finish Sirius cut him off

“No professor, you see it was my entire fault yesterday,” he started “Riddle here was even trying to stop me but I didn’t listen and there boom. You gave her punishment that she didn’t deserve.”

Slughorn looked at Arianna

“Is this true Ms. Riddle?”

Arianna nodded “Yes professor.” She said softly

“Well I’m very sorry about yesterday I was wrong about you,” Slughorn said apologetically “But as for being late, -“but Sirius cut him off again

“Professor she was late because of me again, you see she was on her way here but because of a prank of mine that had gone wrong she got hurt and broke her arm I had to take her to the hospital wing, it was good Madam Pomfrey fixed her up real quick.”

“What the hell is he doing?” Arianna asked herself

“Well, I’ll just let this one slip.” Professor Slughorn said and he continued the lesson once again.

“Thanks.” She mumbled and she took out some parchment and her quill

‘Hmm, things will get better I know it.’ Sirius thought to himself
