Wow. My inner intelligence seems to be nonexistent right now.
Are you freakin' kidding me?! None of those would work against this guy!
Thankfully, though, before his fist even connected with my glasses (yes, they are still on), someone pulled him off of me. Phew. That was close. Sighing, I stood up and patted the dirt off of my clothes, trying my very best to ignore the death glare being given to me by Hulk man. Even though I appear to be failing miserably. Damn those squinty eyes and big biceps! They scare the living rats out of me!
"Harkin! Stop! What the hell are you doing?!"
I raised my head to see who saved me from such a cruel fate, and when I saw who it is, I took in a sharp breath. Oh. My. Gosh. Am I really that worthy to be saved by him? Did I deserve being saved by a person like him?
It was the Headmaster himself, Mr. Arthur Cobb!
"Stop this Harkin, or else!" He shouted, his voice booming throughout the tenth floor. Harkin, or Hulk man, as I liked to call him, stopped thrashing around and just stood up. But still glaring at me. Really? What have I ever done to him? Didn't I just cast a spell on him? It wasn't even a strong spell! Besides, he was the one at fault. So now why was he looking at me like I'm the one who initiated the fight? Heck, he even tackled me! Did he know how much it hurt when I slammed on the edge of that freaking door?!
When Mr. Cobb saw that Harkin had calmed down, he turned to me and flashed me a tight-lipped smile. "Sorry for that. Harkin just has very little self-control." He even emphasized the 'very little self-control' part and glared at Hulk man, who just whimpered in fear. I almost laughed at the sight. He was huge, humongous, even, and this young looking person could make him do that? What a funny sight.
Mr. Cobb, whether you believe it or not, actually looks like a twenty one year-old person, which had taken me by surprise, since I expected him to look like 90 or 100. Well, seen him in pictures, but I didn't think that the sketches of his face were real. I mean, wasn't he supposed to look like my grandparents' grandpa? He was old! He lived for more than 100 years actually. I think he'd existed in the B.C. times. I don't really know--scratch that, no one really knows. There are rumors that he's a Vampire, since he also has inhumane speed. But how would that be possible if he didn't drink blood and his canines don't extend into fangs?
That's why people say he's really mysterious. Not many Hunters get to see him, too. So I consider myself lucky. But how come Mr. Cobb has red eyes? Oh, and he looks like a Bench model, too. Is he really a thousand years old? If he was, he's certainly good at hiding that fact.
He turned to me again and smiled warmly. "So what brings you to my office, young lady?"
I took a glance at Harkin, who seemed more than prepared to rip my body into shreds. Maybe if looks could kill, I'd be buried six feet under right now. He was just glaring at me, but he doesn't seem that angry anymore since his hands weren't clenched. I sighed. Gee, maybe I should undo the spell now. He doesn't seem particularly violent anymore anyway.
And I did undo it. The Headmaster and I watched as the formerly solidified substance melted and droplets fell on the marble floors, before vanishing completely. Harkin sighed in relief, while the Headmaster and I turned to each other.
Oh no, I seemed to have forgotten my manners. Maybe I dropped it on the floor when Harkin tackled me. Haha, kidding.
I bowed my head in submission. "Greetings, Headmaster Cobb." I said, my voice shaking. I was still out of breath because of that tackle! Just then, I felt a tap on my shoulder. When I stood straight, it appeared to be the Headmaster. Phew. I thought it was Harkin. What a relief.
