It was the day of Mirabel's gift ceremony (Bruno left by this point in this au) and everything went as canon she touched the candle touched the door knob and the door disappeared. Heart broken Mirabel cried and ran to Abuela but she pushed her away calling her a mistake and bad luck for the family the whole family and Village started laughing at her. And everyday from that point forward she was beaten and called names she was locked in a random room of the house because the family didn't want their kids who don't have gifts as yet sleeping in the same room as the giftless mistake. Mirabel would sneak around the house when everone's asleep and take one of Julieta's meals to heal herself while crying and thinking why me maybe I should just disappear a she tought to herself then suddenly stopping... NO THEY WON'T CARE IF I GO INSTEAD I WILL MAKE YOUR LIVES HELL MADRIGALS JUST YOU WAIT!!!
