As she moved into the room to introduce herself, her eyes met with the most intense pair of grey/green eyes she had ever seen. She stopped for a minute as she took in who they belonged to. A tall, pale guy with long black hair and a solemn look on his face. "That must be Robins son" she thought to herself. He was stunning. His chiseled face hid beneath his mop of jet black hair, and though covered by a hoodie, you could see he was quite muscular. Not huge muscles, but just the right amount. He was dressed in all black, and wore a thin silver chain around his neck. His hair mostly covered them, but she could see he had stretched ears. Bea felt her face flush red for a moment and she turned away hoping he didn't notice.

"This is Sebastian" Sam said, being the one to break the silence. Bea looked back at the handsome stranger and smiled "Nice to meet you."

"Hey, nice to meet you too" he said. She noticed his eyes flick down to her feet and slowly draw them up her body, taking her in, and she felt a little flustered. Did he like what he saw? Before she could say anything else, a sharp voice cut through the room.

"Oh. So you're the new farmer everyone's been on about"

Bea turned to see a pretty, purple haired girl stand up from a sofa on the far side of the room. She walked over, casting a judging eye over Bea. She stood by Sebastian and she continued to glare at Bea.

"Um, yeah" Bea replied, unsure why this girl had an attitude with her. "I'm Bea"

The purple haired girl stifled a laugh and turned away before looking back and saying "Bee? Like a bumble bee?" and started to laugh again. The boys didn't seem to find it funny though, and everyone stood for a moment listening to the purple haired girl chuckle to herself.

"Whoah, that's kinda rude Abigail..." Sebastian said as he stepped away from her and approached the pool table. He looked embarrassed by her. Abigail glared at him "No it isn't." she said before turning to face Bea again. "You didn't think that was rude did you?"

Bea looked back at Abigail. Her long purple hair was tied in a half-up half-down style. She was wearing a purple dress the same colour as her hair. "Actually, it's short for Beatrice. After my grandma" she replied. Abigail laughed again. "So it's worse, you have an old ladies name?" she gave Bea a look that let her know she wasn't the sort of girl she would want to be friends with. Abigail smirked and flounced back over to where Sebastian was taking his shot at pool. Sam just grinned at her sheepishly and ushered Bea towards a table.

After 45 minutes, and a few drinks, the group were all sat chatting at the table. The conversation had turned to music, and everyone was chatting about their favourite bands. Everyone except Abigail, who sat on her phone, every so often stopping to laugh at something Sebastian said and shoot a dirty look in Beas direction. Bea knew that look. It was a "don't touch my man" look, and although a bit disappointed that Sebastian wasn't single, she accepted that him and Abigail were an item.

"Didn't you say you were in a band Sam?" Bea asked, remembering her conversation with him at Pierres. Sebastian burst out laughing hearing this, and Bea realised it was the first time she had seen him smile properly. He had a beautiful smile she noted.

"He told you he had a band? His 'band' is just me on the keyboard and him on his shit guitar" Sebastian laughed. Sams face grew red and he punched Sebastian playfully in the arm. "Hey, call it a band if that's what you want. But its the crappiest band I ever saw" Sebastian laughed again, pushing his friend away mockingly.

"I used to be in a band" said Bea. "We were quite popular actually" she smiled as she took another sip of her drink. Her words seems to catch Abigails attention as she quickly looked up from her phone and looked at Bea. "It was a few years ago now, we split because life just got too busy for us and we didn't have time anymore. We mostly covered songs but we had a couple of originals"

Sam and Sebastian seemed impressed, and as Sam questioned her about her time in a band, Bea felt glad to have met some people with the same interests as her. Even as the purple haired girl scowled and glared at her over the table. After a while talking about bands, instruments and everything to do with music, Gus popped his head in the door to let the group know he was ready to close for the night.

The group finished their drinks and left the Saloon. As they got outside, Sebastian took a cigarette out of his pocket and lit it up. "Ew gross, what have I told you about smoking Seb? It's disgusting" Abigail snorted, pulling a face at Sebastian and his ciggy. Sebastian just rolled his eyes. He glanced and saw Bea looking at him "Are you gonna tell me off for smoking too?" he asked her.

"Not unless I tell myself off too" she said pulling out a cigarette of her own. She flashed a smile at Sebastian before lighting it up and taking a long drag. "I smoke weed too, but probably not for much longer now that my dealer lives a million miles away in Zuzu City" she laughed awkwardly. She wasn't sure how they would react to that. Smoking weed in the city was no big deal, practically everyone did it at some point. But she wasn't sure what a small, close-knit town would think of her hobby.

"I could get you some if you ever needed?" Sebastian offered. He looked at Bea with one eye, the other one obscured by his raven hair. She was a little surprised that people were able to get weed around here, in the middle of nowhere. Bea nodded and thanked him, letting him know she would most likely take him up on his offer. "I guess you smoke too then?" she asked him.

"Ew, are you really gonna talk about smoking all night? Or are you gonna walk me home?" Abigail suddenly interrupted. "It's freezing and it's really late now, my dad is gonna be mad at me" she sulked. She grabbed Sebastian by the arm and started pulling him away from the group. "Bye Sam" Abigail grinned, then turned to Bea "see ya farm girl" she smirked as she set off walking towards the general store, dragging Sebastian with her. Sebastian muttered a quiet "see ya" and the couple walked away together. Bea watched them walk away into the darkness and wondered what the dark, handsome guy saw in that unhinged, purple-haired girl. She stood for another minute as she finished her cigarette before turning to Sam and smiling. "I'd better get back too, I've got an early start tomorrow and it's almost 1AM" she said.

Sam offered to walk her back to the farm and she accepted. She liked Sam. Not in a romantic way, but he seemed like a genuinely nice guy, and he had been great fun to hang out with tonight. Bea was happy to have made some friends, even if she could tell that Abigail wasn't a fan. As they walked down the road towards the farm, Bea couldn't help but think of Sebastian. He was so hot... She couldn't help but be a little jealous that he was Abigails man.

"I don't think Abigail liked me very much" she confided to Sam.

"Abi doesn't like anyone" he laughed. "Don't take it personally. Me and Sebastian have been friends with her for years."

"Friends? I assumed they were an item" Bea said, puzzled. The way Abigail was with Sebastian, she could've sworn they were a couple. As she waited for Sam's answer she pulled out another cigarette.

"Who, Abi and Seb? They aren't together!" he laughed.

"Oh, they seemed like they were" Bea replied, secretly happy to find out Sebastian was single. They carried on walking the last few meters in silence, Bea smoking her cigarette. Once they reached the farm gate, Bea turned to Sam and thanked him for walking her home. She gave him a friendly hug and Sam set off towards his own home, leaving Bea to make her way through the farmyard to her small, dark cottage. She stood on the porch as she smoked the last of her cigarette, looking out into the black of night. When she finished her smoke, she entered the quiet farmhouse and made her way to her bed. It felt a little more like home now.
