𝐉𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐞 𝐱 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫 || 𝐎𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐬/𝐈𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬

➢𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭

Left alone to wait by the front door for them to come, to knock on the door and apologise for being an hour late. having looked at her phone every minute, hoping for a call that will tell her they're right outside.

But she got nothing.

Coming to terms with the humiliating fact that she have been stood up, and that she gotten all dressed up for nothing – with all those nights planning what she's gonna wear were for nothing.

Unsure of what to do, she call her. waiting for the other line to pick up and hear her chirpy voice that almost always has a ridiculous charming smile behind it.

"oh?" Y/N hums, voice sounding from the speaker, "i wasn't expecting a call from you this early in the night." She teases, "i thought you were going on some big fancy date tonight."

"yeah, well, there was a last minute change of plans." Jennie shrug off.

"and you decided to call me, how sweet." She says, "i don't blame you, i'm a blast. hey look! don't move, don't do anything, stay where you are – i'm coming over alright?"

Y/N hangs up before she can say anything, and of course, Jennie tried calling her back – over and over again – only to get the call declined on the other side.

Jennie waited ten minutes when a knock on the door sounded, fairly unamused she opened it expecting Y/N... She just weren't expecting her to stand on the other side holding a single red rose or dressed up.

"You were expecting to go on a date tonight, right?" She questions, "and luckily for you! you upgraded."

Bringing a hand up to her face, Jennie couldn't help but laugh. Y/N can be a lot to handle at times, but she always finds a way to make her feel better. even if it means skipping out on a few buttons on her shirt and stealing a rose from someone's garden.

She somehow always goes to extra lengths, and Jennie's no exception to that.

"Now, i don't have any fancy dinner reservations but the staff at the diner a few streets down love me." Y/N explains, "i'm sure they can make space for us."

"Aren't we a bit over dressed?" Jennie ask, unable to hide the silly grin on her face.

"What? no," Y/N waves off, "I go out like this all time. i wear this to go grocery shopping, besides there's nothing wrong with being the best dressed."

"Okay, let me just get my things."

Her gesture said everything she couldn't.

Y/N wasn't going to ask Jennie the basic question, but she would like an answer to one. why would anyone stand you up?

She would never do anything like that to her, hell, she jumped at the chance to properly take Jennie out – despite her not knowing that.

Sure, Y/N has her faults in relationships, one being that they never last, and lord knows she's never been the best girlfriend a person could have.

However, that doesn't apply to Jennie.
Y/N's grown up with her, you guys have been together since childhood. through all those fights and arguments that could have easily been the end, they never were.

Jennie never left Y/N, and Y/N never shut her out.

Jennie's the first person Y/N goes to when something good, or bad, happens in her life.

Jennie's the first person Y/N calls when she needs help.

Jennie's the first person Y/N drags along whenever she finds a new restaurant, or cafe, or cool movie showing in theatres.

and well, Y/N's the person Jennie bring to places when she's scared to go alone. Y/N's the one who knows how to make her feel better.

She's the first person Jennie decided to call after getting stood up.

"Okay, i'm ready!" Jennie say, closing her door and joining Y/N's side. looking at her, noticing she's lost in thought, "Y/N! you're zoning out on me!"

Snapping out of her daze, Y/N returns to her same old charming self. "i don't understand why you bothered to say yes to them," She mutters, "i'm clearly the obvious choice here."

Although hidden behind her regular charm and flirt, Y/N was being nothing other than truthful. She's always going to be the one who has loved Jennie first, and nothing will ever change that.
