Mattheo was beautiful, but not social, not typical social at least. People spread rumors and he had always dealt with his way of life. No one could really relate besides his father, whom loved his reputation and the power behind it. Mattheo and I talked from time to time almost as family friends, which was such an awful way to describe the relations between Mattheo and I. I never have known how he feels to be a death eater, if he loves the life he was born into or if he resents it. Many may think it's an obvious answer, that of course no one would want that life or to be associated with you-know-who, but if that were an absolute then there would be no death eaters to protest against the remark. Things get worse by the day with the tension from death eater to brave wizards and witches trying to fight for everything. I try to keep things related to being a death eater at home, try to feel normal, and try to look innocent, because I am, right? Keeping my dark mark hidden, staying away from the dark arts, forgetting about the way of routine at home, and staying away from the home that also attends Hogwarts, Mattheo.

Walking into my room was an experience that I will never get tired of, the gushing over our breaks while unpacking bags, asking every year if either of them have given up their thing for Malfoy. Only one of my two closest friends ever admits the feelings shared for Draco, won't be hard to guess who either I bet(Did I just break the fourth wall? Already?).

"Dinner is about to start and I'm gonna head off early if you guys would like to come?"

"We will be down in a bit, we both have a bit more unpacking to do, save us a seat... preferably next to him.." Pansy says with a devilish smile.

I nod and start heading for the feast, of course I would have to hear about an hour of the sorting hat yelling its head off as it announced the first years and their houses, but I was famished. I sometimes wonder if Draco knew about the crush Pansy had on him, I mean, he had to, right? I grab my food and head to the Gryffindor table. My first year was a year where I couldn't bear the thought of someone finding out my status in the outside world, I would be an outcast, and at that, nothing but an evil slytherin. My first thoughts were how I could conceal this title, and my reputation, even though being a Slytherin came with friends and good percs, it also came with the reality of everyone hating you based off your house. Becoming friends with the Gryfinndors meant that I was seen by everyone, it also meant winning over the most brave, nice, and aboveall judgemental house, it meant overall success of concealment. The golden trio didn't love me but they laughed at my jokes and enjoyed my company, I wasn't fully trusted but to them they would be there if I needed something, but aren't they always? I would've dreaded upholding this side of me because of the cocky trio, but the Weasley twins were fun, they were what I sometimes wish life could have been outside the walls of Hogwarts.

I sat down and hugged Fred and George, then waved to Mione.

"Hey! My friends are still getting their stuff together and I thought I'd come say hi before I'm glued to Snape's ass"

They all laughed besides Harry because although he lowkey hates Snape, god forbid we make a joke towards a professor like him.

"How was your break? we were all together with my mum and dad, they were sick and tired of our jokes but I think it was a successful break for us."

As the group of them rolled their eyes and laughed remembering their memories made at the Weasley's, I sat and thought about what to say next. I can't tell them the only other kids I know outside of school are Draco and Mattheo, and saying my parents or I are death eaters isn't an ideal way to begin talk about the break, so I dream.

"It was amazing! Would you believe it if I told you I went out into the muggle world? it was beautiful in it's own way and crazy to see their cluelessness of everything just a ways away from them. We went to the beach and rented a beautiful beach house that my sister and I absolutely adored."

"That sounds wonderful! I think you might be the only Slytherin interested in not killing muggles." Fred says as they agree.

We continued talking about our- their break experiences till Snape harshly reminded me that I belong at the Slytherin table. As he shoved me towards the table, the sorting ceremony began and he shoved me to the nearest seat, next to Riddle himself.
