{Chapter 11}

"Your Highness If I may ask where is Lady Diana?" Felix said as he looked around the hallway

"She is still getting ready in her room, and that she might take a while so she told me to go on ahead!" I said as I smiled as best as I can, cause I'm super nervous to go inside the room

'Ugh Why do I have to go into the ballroom full of bootlicking nobles?!? I haven't even learned proper table manners and such!'

"Okay then we shall wait for Lady Diana to get ready" Felix said as he just stood at the side like how knights usually do

While I just stood there patiently waiting for Diana to come, which took another ten minutes cause she probably was still looking for me, she still looked Depressed but I didn't know what she is still sad for

She just continued dejectedly walking towards us until she finally looked up,  and I swear her eyes lit up, like they had sparkles in them, which made Felix and the Herald confused as to why she's acting like this

"Athaniel there you are! It's good that you made it here safely I was worried" She said as she took my hand and squeezed it tight

"Worried about what Mama?" I said even though I knew it was about what happened earlier

"N-nothing really I though you had gotten lost in the hallways as there wasn't anyone to escort you here"

"Alright then!" I just smiled at her, which made her slightly relieved but also slightly worried, she then turned to the Herald

"Okay then Herald were ready to go inside now" She said as she made some more preparations like fixing her hair a bit, patting down her clothes

While the Herald used some sort of a transmitter by pouring some of his Mana which made it lit up, and it probably made some sort of signal to Claude that we were ready

Inside the ballroom

Claude's POV

I was sitting on the throne looking at the lower-tiered Nobles try to get acquaintance the Higher-tiered Nobles which most had gotten ignored

While those who are High enough to talk to me tried getting me to accept their daughters as my Fiancee, some even offered their sons if I apparently liked those of my gender

While some offered to give my their Diamond and Fold mines I still didn't accept, cause they had nothing I wanted

When Suddenly the transmitter device I had suddenly started to buzz, it wasn't loud enough to alert the Nobles but it was enough to alert me, it had started buzzing in a specific pattern only those who had one could know

The message I had gotten from the transmitter was that Athaniel And Diana were ready, and I can now announce they're presence

So I spoke up to Silence the room

"Silence"

The room immediately quiets down, so I started speaking again

"Thank you all for coming on this day, i know some of you had gone somewhere far from here, and had to rush back, but this is a very special announcement"

At this moment everyone in the room other than Claude thought

'Who would be so crazy to decline the invitation! We're not idiots, we know if we didn't come we would miss out on  many opportunities to increase our status'

"So I shall just get to the point, I would like to introduce to you My Son, Athaniel De Alger Obelia, Who will be inheriting the throne after me, and Lady Diana who is a dancer from Siodonna who is pregnant with my child"

While everyone was just thinking what he just said, Claude just ignored them and just continued to look at the door

As soon as I called them they walked into the ballroom walking towards me

Outside the Ballroom a few minutes earlier

Athaniel's POV

As we continued to wait for our signal to walk into the Ballroom, we finally received the clear and walked into the Ballroom which looks the same as the last time I was here

Before this day I used to sneak out of my room to explore the Palace and look for any potential places to hide in for no reason at all, but like isn't it better that you know all the places where people can fit and hide in

But anyways while we walk into the ballroom I was holding Diana's hand while Felix followed behind us

The Nobles just looked at me shocked, like they can't comprehend what is happening, well not like it's my problem at least I don't have to talk to them

Anyways Me, Diana and Felix walk towards Claude who is sitting on his Throne, and as soon as we were there Diana sat on the throne next to Claude, while I had to sit on his lap since they apparently had not finished mine

Claude who was finally happy I was here, just hugged me from behind which made the Nobles once again go into shock, if they weren't still in it

'Hah... This is so Troublesome, Why do I have to sit on his lap? At least I could see the Nobles shocked faces learn that  I exist' I thought as I observed them

The Nobles started snapping out of they're shock after a while, and started whispering to each other things like

"His Majesty had a child? I thought he wasn't interested on having one"

"How would you know? You're not his Majesty!"

"He has a lover? And it's a dancer from Siodonna? That shouldn't be possible!"

"I know right? How could His Majesty ever like a someone like that, a commoner even"

"She's probably not even pure, she should have made a lot of money on looks alone"

And other nonsense like that, they're just gossiping at this rate, but I didn't care about them I was just worried about Diana and how she's feeling about what they're saying

So I turned to look at her, and saw that she was just smiling seemingly not caring about what they're talking about
