{Chapter 6}

8 Months later

Athaniel's POV

It's been nearly a year now, and Diana is soon gonna give birth to Athanasia, we had also discovered a few months ago that Athanasia's Magic was too much for her to handle, and that she would die if she gave birth to her

Which caused everyone to panic, and try to convince Diana to give up Athanasia which I know she won't

But Claude wouldn't believe that she wouldn't abort the child, but whenever he tried to convince her, she would always tell him that she would keep her even if she dies, they always argue about it, but at least they tell me to leave the room everytime they start, but even so Claude had been starting to become more...Cold to Everyone, though he would still come to visit me, and would let me sleep with him

Even so He just doesn't spend as much time with Diana anymore, and the only time he would even try to talk to her is when i was with them, he would always act like nothing was wrong, but I always knew he was just pretending, and I could see the pained and betrayed look in his eyes whenever she would just talk like she used to.... When everything was fine, when everyone was happy, but it's... Just not the same anymore...

But....it's my Birthday today! So they probably won't fight with each other today... I hope at least, but anyways I get up from bed and after a while maids came barging into my room, helping me with taking a bath, which I always found embarrassing, and helped me put on my clothes

Which took about 30 minutes to do all together, and when they had finished everything they left, and I was left to admire how cute I look right now,
Anyways after that I went outside my room to see Felix standing Infront of me

"You look amazing Your Highness! and Happy birthday!" He said as he took my hand and leaded me to the gardens near Claude's Palace

"Thanks Felix!" I beamed it was nice receiving compliments, cause it would made me feel appreciated at this point of time, because the palace has become quite depressing this past few weeks, with arguing becoming more common, and some some fights here and there...

But sometime I do wonder what would be happening here if I wasn't born like in [Lovely Princess], the atmosphere most likely would be very grim, as I was one of the only things keeping the atmosphere brighter... Probably with my cuteness but who cares 💅 I'm adorable

We then arrive at the gardens soon enough, but anyways the garden looked very different today as it was decorated with flower Vines, ribbons, and magical looking lights hanged on the trees, everything looks so magical really, so I was surprised

'Wow! This place looks amazing! How did I never noticed this place before?'

I soon see Claude and Diana sitting at the table in the middle of the garden, though not talking to each other, they still looked relieved to see each other even though probably only until this party ends but that's enough, I want them to at least enjoy themselves here, so I run up to them

"Your Highness please don't run! You might trip" Felix said as he catches up to me

"I know Felix!" I said as I jumped on Claude, to which he smiled as he catches me

"Dad! I missed you!" I said to him, to which he just chuckled at me

"I missed you too Athaniel, Happy Third Birthday" He said carrying me to a seat, and places me on it

Diana just seemed happy that we could be happy even though everyone knew that she would die soon if she doesn't abort the child

"Happy birthday Athaniel!" Diana said hugging me, which might be one of the last I will get from her, so I relished every second of it

"Thanks Mama, Papa!" I beamed

Anyways we then started eating, and after that we played some games, and then we started opening my presents, I got a painting of all three of us from Claude, a locket from Diana which contained a picture of her, and a dagger from Felix to protect myself with

I thanked all of them, and we just stayed there at the garden going from place to place, when I saw something shiny, it was a Rose bush but the Roses were made of some kind of crystal, it looked very interesting so I went to grab one while Mom and Dad were not looking

I then sneaked to where the Rose bush was, and I grabbed two while being careful of their thorns, they were very delicate, so I had to be very careful with them, cause I wanted to give them to Claude, and Diana

But as I was walking back, I heard them arguing with each other, I hid behind a bush, I then look at their direction to see Claude and Diana yelling at each other, while Felix was trying to stop them

Third POV

"Diana! Choose me and Athaniel, instead of that thing that is eating your life away! it's not too late to change your mind!" He said grabbing her hands, basically ordering her to abort Athanasia

"Claude you should know that I will never do that! especially when this child is ours!" She said trying to shake him off, while Felix tried separating the two

"That Child your talking about is killing you! Why should I let this child live if you would die in its place!" He said while I just stood there behind the bush afraid to come out

"Because I want you to always remember the times we had with each other, so that even if I die one day, you will still see me whenever you look at our child!" She shouted at him

"Well I don't want that Thing, I want you! Can't you see that if you're dead I might lose myself again!" He said as a few tears fell from his eyes

"Claude... You know that no matter where i am, I will always be watching over you, we will never be apart" she said while she cupped his cheek, brushing away his tears

"No! You don't know that! How can I believe you if you're also gonna leave me behind like them" he said while while he brushed away his tears

"I'll always be here with you, and Athaniel, you just wouldn't be able to see me, I love you Claude..." She said as tears fell from her eyes

"Then stay... Please.... Don't leave me alone..." He said as he hugged her

"You won't be alone, I'll always be there with you and Athaniel- wait where is Athaniel? Athaniel?!" She said as she looked around while Claude let go of her, and started looking for Athaniel

"Felix go find-" Claude said as he looked at where the guard last was, when he saw that he was gone too

"Dammit! Athaniel where are you!" He shouted, while going in a random direction, not noticing Athaniel hiding behind the bush a few meters away
