Rumination

Light

The flickering lamp has shown me the path
that is yet to lead me through the dark

One day, these lights would lead me the way
that once was forged for me to slay

I dwell on these sleepless nights,
thinking about the mistakes in life
Hoping that at least at a moment of time
I would end up realizing that it was not mine

Life is short and yet it seemed so long
for the heart to realize that the moment was gone

Mind is yet in that insane state
Still not able to figure out, what has led to this state

Hope that one day this insanity will end
And that I would be able to walk back on the path

The flickering lamp has given me the path
