i headed over to work, as usual as always.
john and i mostly talked all day in the kitchen while we waited for people to arrive or if anyone needed something. we already know what the usuals order so that's easy.
"lover boy hasn't been here in a while." john says as he walks over to the stove slowly, making a stack of pancakes for himself since he hasn't eaten.
"yeah i know. i still see him frequently though."
"are you guys finally together?"
"well, no, but he did ask me out! we're going saturday." i smiled.
"oh really? i knew you two were going to be together eventually."
