"P korn " Pa waved as she jogged past him . He smiled , returning the wave.
Pat's sister was always so sweet . Pat had surprisingly decided to audition for a play, definitely because his crush korn was sure of it . Forget about crushes, Korn caught sight of a certain architecture student one of his gang's rivals looked like a lovesick puppy . Wai, if Korn remembered right, was staring at the spot where Pa had passed by like it was holy ground.
He considered Pa like she was his own sister and here Wai was lusting after her Oh hell no.
" What the hell are you doing ?" Wai glanced over at him scowling , then looked back hopefully. He fiddled with his phone, his eyes shifting uneasily between Korn and the screen. Korn couldn't say he wasn't amused by Wai's expressions. He shook his head . He decided to let it go for now he'd just keep a close eye on him from now on, Just keep to be sure he didn't get any bright ideas Korn took one last look .
The dinner rush for engineer students couldn't have come at a worse time than now for him. Wai was crawling on the floor ,struggling to collect mini toy cars. Korn cursed his inner urge to be helpful . He knelt around the floor helping Wai collect the cars .
" Hey those are mine!" . " Really is your name on it ?". Wai reached out to swipe the cars from his hands Korn stepped back as Wai continued to swipe at him.
"As a matter of fact it is asshole!" . Wai pointed at his name spelled wrong on the car.
" Oh your name is on it , Waay" Korn drew out the name laughing . Korn tipped his head back squinting at the mini blue car . " Whose Won?". " None of your damn business" .
Wai knocked him over and Korn caused his fellow students to fall like domino's they cursed and grumbled about how troublesome Korn was . Wai was wrapped around him struggling to pry the blue car from his fingers.
"Seems like your lacking your taekwondo skills today" Korn rolled around the floor as Wai scratched at his hands. " What the hell are you talking about ?". Korn leapt up . Wai kept grabbing for the car but Korn dodged him as if he were the air himself.
" I'm talking about you Jackie chaning me through the bus sign ".
" I'll admit it that was a pretty badass move".
korn was caught off guard by the compliment and Wai almost got the car.
" nice try " . " Give me the car!" Korn grabbed Wai and put him in a headlock .
" If we get caught fighting again will probably have to work together again ". korn smirked.
" the hell we will!".
" You know my dad taught me to fight to protect my sister" Wai huffed running out of energy trying to jerk away. " I dont give a fuck, screw your sister !" Wai stomped on his foot and elbowed him in the guts.
" How rude oops" Korn let the car drop over the stair railing it sunk into the pond below. Wai clutched his fist his face burned red. And then the unexpected happen tears welled up in Wai's eyes . He brushed his arm harshly across his face as tears stained his cheeks.
Korn loved to pick on Wai but making him cry was pushing a boundary he didn't want.
Korn gaped at him confused. "I'm so-" before he could apologize Wai turned and ran down the stairs. Korn heard a loud splash and girls laughing . He looked over the railing to see Wai diving around the duck pond. Apparently the car meant something more personal to Wai than korn had thought . He smacked his own forehead and sighed because once again he couldn't not be helpful . He headed for the duck pond .
