I sat there, for at least a week, reading The Hobbit. Everyday I would come in, take my book from the cupboard, sit down and read. And every day the 3 boys would be there. After sitting there reading, I would here bits and pieces of their conversations. I came to realize their names and what they were doing everyday in the book store.

The tall one with the green eyes was named PJ. I thought it was quite a cute name for him. It suited him. The blue eyed boy was named Phil. I liked his name. It sounds so cute and innocent, just like he is. And the boy with the chocolate brown eyes was named Dan. Dan, I liked that name. I wonder if it is short for Daniel, or maybe it's just Dan. I also found out what they have been playing since the day I saw them. They were playing Pokemon on their DS'. Well only Dan and Phil. PJ rather preferred Legend of Zelda. Phil had some strong Pokemon from what I picked up. He would always win a match with Dan. Dan would sometimes win, but purely out of luck.

Every time he won though, he would look up and meet his eyes with mine. I didn't like the feeling in my stomach that I got when ever he looked at me. It felt like my stomach was doing gymnastics over and over again.

'Thank goodness!' Said Bilbo laughing, and handed him the tobacco-jar. The End. I did it. I finished reading The Hobbit in only a week. I got up and walked towards the H section of the book shelve and put the book back in its place. I had nothing to do now. I didn't want to go back home because then I would have to walk. I usually take the bus home since it was too cold out to walk.

I decided to go ask the woman at the cashier for any book suggestions. The woman at the desk seemed to be in her mid 30s. She wore a fancy sweater everyday. They always had either really cool patterns or lots of beads. She usually wore her black hair in a bun, but today it was down. Her brown eyes were surrounded with a nice neutral colour of eye shadow. She seems nice. She noticed my behaviour over the past week and had taken in that I wasn't going to buy an actual book. As I walked over to her she smiled a nice big smile showing off her teeth. "May I help you?" She asked being as nice as she could. "Yes actually I wanted to know if there were any books you would recommend." I told her. She had a surprised look on her face. I guess she wasn't expected my kind of accent. "You can check the new arrivals." She said pointing over to a book shelve near Dan, Phil, and PJ. Damn. I really don't want to go over there. "Ok, thank you." I said grinning. I wasn't really the one to give big smiles to people. I felt like I would just give too much and make myself look weird.

So many books. I notices that there was a lot of books about love. Love this, love that. Too much love. Though, one caught my eyes. It was a black cover. It had one winter tree on it. It was covered in snow and it had three simple words written at the top. "A Winter Lust" I whispered to myself. I flipped the book over to read the description, but there was none.

"I heard that was a good one." I turned to my right to find Dan, standing there. He was taller than I thought he would be. We were covered by the rows of book shelves, so nobody could possibly see what was happening. "Oh ya?" I asked him, looking right into his eyes. "Y-ya." He stuttered looking at the ground. His hands were shoved in his pockets of his pants, and his hair hung over his eyes. "I umm, noticed you don't like um buying books..." He trailed off. "Ya. I know." Really. That was the best answer I could give him.

"Where are you from?" He asked raising his head to look at me. "Um I used to live in Canada, but I moved here a while ago." I told him quietly. I wasn't good at making new friends. Especially with a cute boy. People would always make fun of me for being 'different'. What was that even supposed to mean? Whatever, I don't care about them. They are all long gone out of my life. "Like here in the book store?" He asked playfully. "No silly. In my flat." I giggled. Silence.

We kind of just stood there in silence thinking of what to say next. "I could um, buy it for you. If you want." He asked me, his eyes shimmering. "No, that's ok I really-" "No, I insist." He interrupted me. "Oh well, um ok." I said a little shocked at his persistence. "Great!" He said walking closer to me. He was so close I could just touch him. He gently took the book that was wrapped around my chest. I looked up at him. He was beautiful. I bet he has a girlfriend though. He noticed me looking at him and gave me a half smile, showing off his dimple.
