John was moving around Krishnanagar. When he was passing through a lake he saw Bondita filling water in her pot and moving towards her house . Like this he came through the village many times only to see her . Once he went to her house when she was not at home. John made a dealing with Bondita's mama to sell her to him at the rate of 1000rs (very big amount during that days). John's plan was to take Bondita to London and put her in auction there.

(Suddenly he saw the bandage that was tied in her hand . )

Bon – jab main soo rahethi yeh chot lagi par pata nahe kaise .
Ani – thume chot lagi aur pata nahe kaise ? wah !
Bon – wo main soo rahe thin na
Ani – chot lagne ke baad be thum uthe nahe?
Bon – haan (little embarised)
Bondita does not know about her disorder
(Like this they had many other sweet talks and they were discussing about their past . But Anirudh did not tell about his engagement with Saudamini. Soon it was time for lunch. He invited Bondita , but no sooner her mami called her and she left . He did not want her to go away from him but was left with no other option. As soon as she left him , she felt an unknown feeling. Both started realizing their feelings towards eachother. )

Ani – wo main ..... bas ghumne gaya tha
Mini – dhubara jane se phele mujhe bhe baato main bhe thumare saat chalthi hoon

(After having lunch Saudamini went to her room and Binoy and Anirudh were left alone)
Binoy – Anirudh , thum se kuch baa karne hai
Ani – ji kaheyee baba
Binoy – mujhe lagtha hey ke thum Saudamini ke sat kuch samay bithana hey , thumar shadi hone wala hey usse aur thum usse akele chod diya .
Ani – wo baba , thoda sar dardh hooraha tha issiliya .....
Binoy – mujhe safai nahe chayee , bas jho main kaheraha hoon wo karna ..... tike

Bondita started feeling her love towards Anirudh , but did not want express it as he was a son of zamindar and he was barrister . She just wants to keep it as a secret in the bottom of her heart. She was more concerned about the society . What will people tell about her . So she decided to become a good friend for him .

Anirudh was sure that he loves Bondita very much . And he wanted to express his feelings as soon as possible . Yes, he was concerned about Saudamini but he did not want live with her she was just a friend not anything more . So he decided to propose her . Another thought strike his mind , How will Bondita react ? So he thought if it is a YES he will fight with the whole world for her . But if it is a NO ........ he frowned and with full hope he said it will surely be YES. He took the suitcase and opened it and took his mother's mirror and started talking to the mirror (sensing his mother)
Ani – maa, aap janthe hai na , mujhe Saudamini se shadi nahe karna hai . Main usse pyaar nahe kata. Par aap janthe hai maa , mujhe aapna pyaar milgaya . Haa maa main Bondita se bohot pyaar kartha hoon . Bas mujhe himat aur aapke ashirwaad dejiye .
