"Don't worry about your size",
"Cause every inch of you is perfect"
Is what people like to think.
We pretend sometimes that
It doesn't hurt,
Because those that love us don't care.
But sometimes the love isn't enough,
We want to be noticed,
Because the world is a shallow place
And we become shallow with it,
Judging Eyes are everywhere
And they see Outer Beauty first.
After all it's easier to spot,
And it's convenient to think
That 'hotness' is goodness.
That's why the little children want to play
With the thin one
Even if the thin one dislikes kids.
The thin one gets to choose
Between guys
While you get ignored.
But the child stops labelling by book covers,
And the guy that falls for looks leaves anyway,
The fleeting attraction is not worth anything.
The hurt is temporary,
Just like the shallow love,
Of the exterior.
Beauty is not on the outside,
It's in the smile you greet people with,
And the love you spread.
You more than your fat,
If you see that,
Then the world can.
You are not cruel,
You don't want to hurt others,
You are beautiful.
People love your quirks,
People love the way you laugh,
People love who you are inside.
A love for food or hatred of exercise,
Isn't the worst thing you can have,
Being Fat isn't the worst thing you can be.
The world sees outer beauty first,
And the inner beauty later,
But if they stay it's for the second not the first.
At the end of the day,
However cliché it is,
There's just more of you to love.
Dedication: To one of the best people I know, who always makes me feel good.
