Flashback (The Library)- Shaun's Point of View

She started to run. I immediately grabbed her arms and she bumped into me. She tried to scream but I quickly covered her mouth with my hands. My hands were shaking. I've done this before but why was I scared?

"Are you insane? No ones gonna hear you," I said.

She was crying loudly. I don't know if it was fear or the thought of me killing her right in the spot. Either way, I meant no harm. I had no choice but to drag her way to the parking lot right to my space. It was no easy job. She kept on moving and trying to break free. I didn't have much time. She bit my hand two times. I held on her tighter. Where was that rope? I took out my handkerchief and wrapped it around her mouth. I tangled the rope around her wrist and pushed her to the back seat.

"mmmmmmmeeeeeelp! mmmmmmmmmeeeeellliicccee!," she screamed.

"No ones gonna hear you. If I were you, just shut up."

It was around midnight when I received a call from Carlos. He said I was supposed to meet a man named Anton in a bar down the street. I didn't know what assignment I was supposed to accomplish. I didn't have the briefings, the preparation, the action plans. None. It was strange that I accepted it. For no reason, I thought about of going.

"Where's the boy?"

I heard a man inside a dark room asked. He was wearing a nice suit. He was smoking his Cuban cigarette. I couldn't see his face for the room was really dark. The only source of light was coming from his cigar.

"He's here, boss." said this man. He must probably be Anton.

I was pushed by this tall man into the room. The "boss" motioned me to sit down. I did what he asked. He pushed a file from across the table. Camille Banks

"This is all the briefings you can get," he said.

"What am I supposed to do with her?" I asked.

I scanned through the files.

Name: Camille "Mille" Cassidy Banks

Age: 17 years old

Birthday: October 21, 1994

Height: 5'6

School: Rosemount Preparatory School

....................................

"Protect," he said.

"From what? Mosquitoes?" I said.

"Who are you to talk like that? You do what I ask and I pay you," he said.

"100 grand," I demanded.

"50."

"Take it or leave it."

"Kill this boy."

"I'll do it, I'll do it. When do I start?"

"Today."

Flashback (Parking lot/The first paragraph of Part 1)

"I'm not scared of you," she said trembling.

Gee, talk about the incident at the library.

"Don't do anything stupid. You'll put yourself in much trouble as it is."

"What are you talking about? LET ME GO!" she screamed.

"That, I'll have to protest."

I shoved her in the back seat again without any trouble and this time, she didn't reacted the way she did at the library. She was not biting my hand, nor screaming, nor anything. She just sat there. I immediately took my glasses off and sat down on the driver's seat.

"This is the part where you start screaming for help. Are you still getting into character?" I said.

"Since you've abducted me, are you not scared that any moment now the police would be here, ready to put you in jail? Forever? Or did that thought never crossed your mind? Not once?"

"I don't think you'll be calling the police. I know you want to know where your father is. It's fine with me. Put me in jail and your father, he's gone."

"Stop fucking with me!" she screamed.

I looked at her in the side view mirror. She was crying. It's normal for girls I'd say. I started the engine and drove away. She was looking outside the whole time. She stared very blankly. It seemed like she has a secret she kept for a long time and finally, it was being revealed right in her very eyes.

Flashback continuation (the library)-Mille's Point of View

"mmmmmmmeeeeeelp! mmmmmmmmmeeeeellliicccee!," I screamed.

"No ones gonna hear you. If I were you, just shut up," he said.

He hit the accelerator and I fell forward. I hit my head on the passenger seat and I passed out.

I woke up and the ceiling greeted me. My head still hurts because of the impact and Shaun was no where to be found.

I immediately sat upright but the pain in my head worsen.

"Coffee or milk?"

I looked up and saw Shaun holding a mug.

"You bastard!!!," I screamed.

I was standing but I can't move forward.

"Remember rope? You met him a while ago in the car. Oh yeah, probably you didn't cause you hit your head."

My feet was strapped around a peg of the bed. I tried to reach and free myself but the more I leaned forward, the more pain I endured in my head.

"You should rest that head. Here are some icebags."

"Why are you doing this? What do you want from me?" I screamed.

"To get laid?"

"What?"

"I'm tired. I'm going to sleep. Good Night," he said.

"Wait, please, listen to me. I'll give you any amount of money, my fa---"

"BINGO! Your father? Hmmm, where is he anyway? He's probably in what....I don't know...in this house, perhaps?

"THE HELL WITH YOU!," I shouted.

"SHHHH," he hushed. "Don't make any unecessary sound, babes. You don't want to get hurt, do you?"

"What is this? What are you doing to me? What...."

"Enough questions. I'd tell you everything I know," he assured me.
