Truthfully, it can't even be called a cabin. It should've been called a wooden mansion.
The cabins we were staying at weren't half bad either.
To say the cabin was nice was an understatement.
There were about fifty personal cabins, by which I heard that normal camps don't have, and they were spacious enough for 2 or 3 people to live in. However, the cabin's design could only fit one person in it. There was a couch with a small flat screen T.V., a well furnished kitchen and bathroom on the ground floor while a spacious room with a built in closet was upstairs along with a balcony.
This is the reason why rich people get spoilt.
All this privileges are too much and I never let them spoil me.
Ha! Who am I kidding?
I'm the spoilt brat of my family.
I love the privileges.
Moving on...
After we had huddled together, Coach took his time to explain every bit of detail of all the rules and the activities we would be doing for the next two months.
Apparently, partying and alcohol is allowed.
Coach released us from his speech and gave the next three days off for us to do anything we want. I guess Coach actually does have a heart.
Oh wait, no, he doesn't. He didn't give us cell service.
Which reminds me, I need to call my mom!
She must be freaking out right now!
I made my way from the crowd to Coach only to find that Sean wants to call his momma too.
Great. Can't I have one second of peace without him always showing up to where I am?
Sean didn't notice me behind him as he took Coach's phone and dialled a number. He started moving away when I heard a light voice coming out of the phone but Coach stopped him. He gave Sean a stern look to which Sean fired back a pleading one. He sighed and shooed him away to make his call in peace. After he had gone, Coach turned over to me and raised his eyebrow.
"Need to give my mom a call, sir." I stated.
"Okay. After he's done with his call, you can use it." He said.
I nodded and leaned against the wall. I watched as the crowd slowly started spreading away, leaving me and Coach Anderson alone in the lunch hall.
"Willow, I need to talk with you." Coach spoke out, immediately making me stand up straight at the mention of my name.
"What about, sir?" I asked curiously.
"You know the reason why we came here, yes?" He questioned.
"Umm... yes, sir. We came here to work out our differences and develop our team spi-"
"No, that's not it, Willow." He cut me off, leaving me confused.
"Then what is it, sir?"
"I'm not blind when it comes to seeing problems between kids, Rodriguez. I have passed your age and I know what's it like for you kids in this age."
"What are you trying to say, sir?"
"Look kid, I'm not blaming you for anything but, the real reason we are here is because of your falling out with Sean Blake." He bluntly said, leaving me stunned.
"What?" I asked, maintaining my composure.
He sighed and continued, "Willow, your problem with Blake is the actual problem between this squad. I know that you know that your brother completely hates him because of you and Kaden happens to be the vice captain of our squad, right?"
I nodded and waited for him to continue.
"Sean over their is the best friend of Josh Ryder, the captain, isn't he?"
"I think so, sir."
"And you know that your brother and the captain, as they say, are popular within the school and squad and has a lot of admirers, don't they?"
"You could say that."
"And you must also know that the captain and the vice captain hates each other too right?"
Coach was getting on my nerves now.
"Get to the point, sir." I said, not letting my impatience get the best of me.
"What I'm trying to say is that because of you and Blake, the friendship between the captains broke, leaving it with the poor teamwork and relationship of the team."
"I already knew that, sir. I'm not dumb." I stated, quite rudely.
"Well then, Miss-know-it-all, don't you think you should do something about it?" He said, matching my tone.
"Well, I never thought about that." I replied quietly, almost all to myself, but he heard it.
"Then do something about it," He said sternly. "Make up with him or whatever. Fix this. I can't tell Blake about this because he has his own problems." He looked towards Sean who was still in his call with worry. "I don't wanna burden the kid. So it's all up to you, Willow. I'm counting on you."
Sean came up with the phone, frustration written all over his face. After he handed the phone, he sent me a glare and stomped away.
Coach noticed it too.
"Looks like you have a lot of work to do." He remarked before handing me the phone to call my mom.
I sighed, nodding and dialled my mother's number.
She'll know what to do.
