Hi everyone this is a story i wrote for class. Enjoy!
————————————————————————
Early in the morning, Dressed in a white lace dress with a purple bow, she moved through the trees with effortless grace and a quiet demeanor. She comes to a dense area where a blanket of beautiful flowers grows into a carpet that opens into a beautiful paradise. She walks forward and an opening appears, and she walks through it and is amazed by what she sees. There are orange, red, and yellow flowers covering the sides of hills that are a Lucious green. There is a huge tree in the middle of this clearing where hut type houses in all sorts of shapes and colors stand tall behind and to the sides of it.
In the clearing she hears a tender voice say, "Welcome exciting newcomer." He walks up to her to introduce himself and the other fairies yell "Get back here Thomas." Thomas turns around to his fellow fairies with a questioning look before continuing towards the unfamiliar girl. "Hi, I'm Thomas what's your name?" The young girl smiles as she responds to him "Hi Thomas, my name is Aiyanna. Where am I?" The other fairies scowl and move closer to them. One of the fairies gets between them. "I am Liam the leader of Eden this paradise in which you have trespassed upon." She looks nervously around her before returning her eyes to Liam. "I am sorry I don't mean to trespass. I was just wandering in the woods and came across a curtain of beautiful flowers. I was just curious Mr. Liam."
Thomas grabs her hand gently as he starts to lead her away "let me show you around Aiyanna. I'm sure you are quite tired and parched after your journey." Aiyanna nods her head "Yes I am. It's such a beautiful place and I must ask about the tree in the middle. It's so big and I thought I saw it move a little." Thomas says, "I will tell you all about the elder tree but after I give you a tour." He continues walking gently pulling her along beside him. It's a bit awkward because their difference in height she's the size of a seven-year-old child and he's about three feet in height. With his wings sparking in the light, he proceeds to show her around. "As you can see there's waterfalls on the side of the mountains that flow into a small pool of water. The water is a sparkling blue, and the mountains are covered with trees that are just spectacularly green. The bushes are covered in orange and red flowers. I think they are called star lilies."
They stop as another fairy comes out of one of the huts. "Oh, Hello Peter, meet our new friend Aiyanna." She admires Peter's clothes that are made from leaves and what looks like pieces of bark. "Hi, Peter." Peter nervously says "Hello." Thomas walks closer to Peter and pulls him toward Aiyanna and places his hand into hers. "Walk with us Peter, I was giving her a tour of our home. I will be telling her all about the elder tree next." He takes Peter's other hand, and they start walking back towards the elder tree.
They arrive at the tree, and they all drop hands. "The elder tree my dear Aiyanna is a magical tree, it provides us with everything we need to survive and is thousands of years old." As Thomas finishes telling her this Peter looks at her "Miss Aiyanna might I ask why you are here?" Aiyanna responds "I ran away from home; my father is a drunk and he hits me, and my mom left when I was two. I didn't mean to intrude but I have never felt safer." "I'm sorry about that my dear, I can guarantee you are safe here. Liam has put up spells to protect us and our home." Responds Peter. Thomas smiles "He is correct Aiyanna we will keep you safe. We can make you a home and make you our size so you can live with us here." At that her eyes get teary "Really? I could stay?" "Of course. We just have to get permission from the others which I'm sure they'll give after you've proven your worthiness." Peter explained. "How do I do that?" She asked. "Well, we ask the elder tree of course!" replied Thomas.
"Aiyanna!" exclaims Thomas, "you shall ask right now!" She looks up at this giant tree that's so tall it makes her feel like she's a spec on the ground. "Dear elder tree am I worthy to stay?" all is silent as the tree looks down upon her. "You ask me if you are worthy to stay dear girl and I shall answer you. But first I must ask what makes you worthy?" She thinks for a moment "Well I'm kind and friendly and I just want to live in peace." It takes a moment before the tree responds. "You are worthy dear child." Thomas hugs her "Come dear we must tell the others and get their approval." Exclaims Peter.
They walk over to the other fairies who are all standing close to each other arguing. "We cannot allow this stranger to be here!" "Who even gave permission for her to stay this long?" Thomas looks at Aiyanna "We have come to discuss her staying as the elder tree has deemed her worthy." One of the fairies turns around her name is Faye. "Thomas and Peter we have discussed it among us and we don't think it is a good idea to invite an outsider into our home." "I was skeptical myself Faye but she is a good human and she is worthy of living among us." replies Peter. "If the elder tree deems her worthy who are we to go against it?" questions Liam. "As leader of Eden I shall abide by the elder tree's decision. She stays."
After a bunch of arguing and everyone finally accepting her they decide to throw a huge festival with music and lots of food they are all dancing around the tree. " I want to thank you for letting me stay in this beautiful place." expressed Aiyanna. " We are happy to have you. Now that you are staying we need to accustom you to our life. We shall speak with the elder tree to make you a part of this wonderful place." Responded Thomas. "We should speak with the elder tree now." Says Liam as everyone stands facing the elder tree. "Elder tree we must ask of you to make her one of us." After a few moments of silence the tree starts to move "I shall make her one of you." Thomas looks at her as she shrinks to their size. "Aiyanna your our size now." She smiles as she looks around at everyone.
They continue to celebrate through the evening and eventually decide to end the festivities so they can get her settled into her home. "We have prepared your home Aiyanna would you like to see it? questions Thomas." "I would love to see it Thomas." Replies Aiyanna. He leads her to a good size hut that is a purple color with blue and red flowers in a flower box under the window. They walk up to the door. "Go ahead for see your new home." Thomas expressed. She opens the front door and walks in, inside to the left is a small living room the couch is made from small twigs and leaves that are rolled up and folded to make the cushions and the base. The end tables are made from twigs and grass. The rug is a big mulberry leaf. To the right is a small kitchen the counters and cupboards are all made from wood. There's a pantry full of fruits and vegetables. She walks down a small hallway where there is a bedroom with a big bed and nightstands that was made from an old oak tree. Off of the bedroom is a small bathroom with a pot for a toilet and a handmade tub for baths. Out the window she notices a huge garden with lots of plants growing all sorts of fruits and veggies. Just to the side of that is a coop with all color of chickens.
"Thomas it's amazing!" Exclaims Aiyanna. He looks at her smiling, "I'm glad you like it, I designed the inside with the help of Faye of course." "Well thank you. I'm really glad I found this place and met you all. I've never felt safer and I have you to thank for that." Expresses Aiyanna. "I'm glad you did too. Now that you've seen your house do you want to get settled in or we could go explore." Thomas says. "Let's go explore. I really want to get up close to the waterfalls. I love water!" Exclaims Aiyanna.
They walk along the mountain side towards the waterfalls that drop into a beautiful blue pool of water. There's a bunch of star lilies growing along the bank in shades of purple and yellow. The grass is green and not too tall but just the perfect height for them to crouch down and be hidden. She walks closer to one of the waterfalls and watches it as it streams out hole listening to the music it plays. They stay for a while before deciding to explore other parts of this paradise they live in.
By the end of the night they decide to lay out in front of the guys starring up at the sky and all the stars. "Thank you Thomas for everything you've done for me. Today was the best day." Thomas turns his head and stares at her. "I'm glad I could help you. Today has been the best day for me because for once I'm not bored and there was excitement." Thomas expresses.
She giggles and says "Look that star is shining brighter than all the others!" "Wow. It's the brightest I've ever seen. I've always wondered what was on the outside of our home." Thomas says." Aiyanna turns her head towards him and says "Honestly, this is much better than anything on the outside, Trust Me!." "All I know is, it has to be somewhat interesting if it brought you into my life it can't be all that bad." exclaims Thomas. "Yeah I suppose it is." She responds, as they look into each other's eyes.
