Today was the day. Will and El were really excited. The Wheelers were coming over today, which included Mike. Will hadn't seen or talked to him in a while, whenever he called Eleven would answer and Will wouldn't get a chance to. Will was happy. Really happy.
Will was reading a comic book on the couch, which was the X-Men 134 that Dustin had given to him. A few minutes later the doorbell rang. He jumped up and quickly answered it.
"Byers!" Mike exclaimed as he hugged Will.
He hugged him tight. Will was so happy. He awaited this day for a long time.
"Move Mike!" Nancy barked as she was trying to get through the door with heavy luggage in her hands.
"Jeez," Mike muttered under his breath.
"So how have you been?" Will asked trying to create conversation. Stupid he thought to himself.
"I've been a mess. Life wasn't the same without you or El there," Mike replied in a some-what sad tone.
"Same here," Will added. There was an awkward silence before Mike asked,
"So uh, where's Eleven?"
"Oh. She's in her room. Second door on the left up the stairs." Will responded.
Will watched as Mike bolted up the stairs to see his "girlfriend?"
"Hey Will!" Nancy said with a big smile on her face, arms open for a hug. Will went and have her a hug.
"Hey Nance, How've you been?" Will exclaimed.
"I've been doing pretty well, how about you?" she replied.
"I've been better," Will said with a sad smile.
"Oh uh, do you need.. help?" He asked noticing her struggling.
"Yes," she responded with a chuckle.
They take the bags up to Jonathan's room knowing that they'll have to bring them back down to go to the cabin which was just down the street.
After Will helped Nancy, he sat back on the couch and began reading his comic again. A few minutes pass by and Mike and Eleven come running down the stairs, hand in hand and laughing.
"Gross," Will mumbled under his breath.
