Emptiness. Bottomless, deep and neverending emptiness was all that wobbled around him.
Or were his eyes just closed?
It was like his senses had given up on him. The ability to see is taken. No sound reached his ears.
There was incessant pressure on his eardrum, making him feel oppressive, drowning. He would have loved to lift his hands above his ears as protection, but even the power over his body seemed to have left him.
He felt trapped, like a staranger in this shell. As if his soul was not connected to the nervous system. He seemed to float motionless in the seeping blackness.
All thoughts and efforts of memory before this emptiness were lost. He drifted powerlessly.
His mind was mute now, perhaps to protect him from madness.
Doomed to exist in deafness forever.
