After a beautiful night spent with Jorgi, I sent him a message, thanking him.

Smiling to myself, I was about to switch my phone off, when it began to ring, unexpectedly. I noticed that it was a message from my boss. Curious, I answered it, unaware of the coincidence that was about to occur.

'Hey, is everything okay?' I asked.
'Hi Charlotte, we're so sorry to disturb you, but UEFA have called the us, the embassy of Poland in England, asking if there was anyone available who was fluent in both languages. They're desparate for a translator for the Euros for the Polish national team, since a lot of the questions in press conferences will be in English. I thought you'd be best suited to the job. Besides, it's only a month or travelling about with them,' my boss explained.
'I'll get back to you tomorrow. Obviously I'll have to think about it, but chances are I'll be up for it,' I replied.
'Thank you Charlotte, you're a life saver,' she replied.
'You're welcome. See you tomorrow,' I said, hanging up.

The one person I knew would know more about this then me was Jorginho. Deciding to leave it for the night, I thought I'd call him in the morning and ask for his advice, since this was a huge opportunity and I wanted to at least give it my best, if I was to take it.

I woke up to a message from Jorginho anyway, without me even needing to message first.

Good morning Jorgi, please can I call you? I need to talk about something.. Nothing scary, just something I know you'd be able to help with 💞

A few minutes later, my phone began ringing and I knew that it would be him. He did say that he would try his best for me and I already really appreciated it, so much.

'Is everything okay, amore?' he asked.
'Yes Jorgi. I've been offered a new job temporarily. UEFA needed a translator for the Polish national team with the English press conferences, so they've asked the Embassy and they've asked me if I'd be up for it?' I started 'But I just wanted your advice and also wanted to know if you're also going to the Euros?'
'First of all that's amazing Charlotte! I'm so proud of you. Second of all, I think it would be a great opportunity for you. I can always help you, with packing your bags and things for the different climates you'll be in, but also, if we end up in any of the same locations, I can always meet up with you on any spare days. It means that we'll both be busy for a month, but sort of around eachother, so that the month doesn't go by slowly. I was scared to talk to you about the Euros anyway, in case you'd be upset I wouldn't be around for the month,' he said.
'To be honest, I think I'll go for it, I'm a little bit nervous but UEFA have told the embassy they'll pay me for the whole month off, regardless of the outcome for Poland, therefore I'll be around anyway,' I replied, starting to feel excited at the new opportunity.

Jorgi had a very solid point. It would help bring us closer, but also not stretch us to the point where we have to wait an entire month, until we next see eachother.

'See, you'll be great tesoro. As soon as you find out the details of your first destination, let me know and I'll tell come around and help you pack your bag,' he said.
'Thanks Jorgi, I'm really excited to be honest. I'm gonna have to go, so that I can call my work, to tell them I'm accepting the offer, but I'll message you throughout the day, when I find out my schedule.'
'That's okay amore, I'll speak to you later. Ciao,' he replied.
'Ciao Jorgi,' I said, before hanging up.

Instantly, I got onto the phone to my work, telling them that I wanted the job. They provided me with the schedule and it was as follows.

7-6-2021 - Meet in Poland, for team introduction, discuss timings of press conferences with the manger.

11-6-2021 - Fly out to St Petersburg, Russia for match 1 Vs Slovakia on 14-6-2021

16-6-2021 - Fly out to Seville, Spain for match 2 Vs Spain on 19-6-2021

20-6-2021 - Fly back to St Petersburg, Russia for match 3 Vs Sweden on 23-6-2021

The rest depended on what Jorginho was up to, but hopefully, his schedule would be a little close to mine. Regardless, it depended on how either of our teams did, but we could still meet. We'd just have to find ways around it.

After messaging him my schedule, he shortly sent his back so that we could compare.

28-5-2021 - Fly out to Rome, Italy for 2 weeks training camp.

11-6-2021 - First game held in Rome Vs Turkey.

16-6-2021 - Second game held in Rome Vs Switzerland

20-6-2021 - Third game held in Rome Vs Wales.

Don't worry too much about the difference tesoro. That's only the first few weeks. There's qualifying to think about. Would you like to come to Italy with me for a few days, when I first fly out? ❤️

That's okay Jorgi, we'll make time for eachother, and because we'll both be so focused on our jobs, it'll fly by. We can always call and things, but I'd love to come to Italy with you for the first few days you're there. You can help me pack, since it's your home country 🥰

Sounds perfect. I'm leaving in a week, so we can pack together tomorrow if you want? I'm training until 3, but I'll come over afterwards and cook us a meal. All of my national team clothing was sent in a parcel, so I'll bring those and some other clothes. Can't wait to see you 😘

Despite the difference in schedules, we were both able to make it work, so that was a relief. Without the job opportunity, I don't know what would've happened for the entirety of the Euros, however I believe everything happens for a reason.

I must've been introduced to Jorgi and given the job offer around the same time because he's in my life for a reason.

For the first time in months, I felt hopeful ❤️
