Dislikes: Being the center of the attention, oversleeping on an important day, sugarless things and also coffee (she thinks life is already hard so why not add a spoonful of sugar?) watching a horror movie alone at night (it's ok if it's with someone else and during daytime), getting lost (she suffered some panic attacks for this reason), surprises, tickling (especially when these last two things are combined), dark places

Background:

Her parents met in Vancouver at a college volleyball match where her father was a middle blocker (her mother was an exchange student from Japan at the same university, the University of British Columbia). Nori was born and raised in Victoria, Canada, where she spent a happy childhood surrounded by the love and support of her parents, who always tried hard to fight her laziness by enrolling her in various sports courses. The last one she tried was volleyball, during middle school, a choice supported by her father, who saw it as an opportunity for her to pursue a professional career, something he hadn't been able to do after college, but Nori soon discovered that volleyball wasn't her destiny, and those years as a player made her live this sport with constant anxiety and tension, emotions that made her close herself off, avoid others, and become more shy and introverted.A move to Japan (to her grandmother's house in Tokyo) and the start of her schooling at the Fukurodani Academy, where she later joined the boys' volleyball club as a manager, finally pushed her out of her comfort zone and allowed her to blossom again.
