August 26. This marks the date of Bakugou's first day of his sophomore year of college at a new school. Wearing his everyday nonchalant expression, he gets ready to head out for the day. He lives alone in a small apartment, only a couple miles from the UA school of arts. The August sun is blazing through his window, luminating the room and warming it to a pleasing degree. After all the festive spirit rising from Japan this month, it's nice to wake up to a calm morning without any special plans; signifying the upcoming end to the loud month. Though he does enjoy a good fireworks display, the seemingly never-ending supply of them can wear him out eventually. He's not a very open guy but you couldn't easily describe him as depressed.

He always takes a shower in the morning, as to feel refreshed for what lays ahead. Changing from his nighttime clothes to running the scolding hot water on his back. Washing his blonde hair with some expensive shampoo and conditioner. It may not seem like a given now but Bakugou is the neat type, and not one to live messily. He continues washing his toned body off with a welcoming scented soap before rinsing, turning off the water, and walking out onto the bath mat. He steps in-front of his mirror as he dries off, starting with his hair, which he takes great pride in. He hasn't felt the self-hatred or the overwhelming self-love when looking in the mirror; it's just another body looking back at him, nothing new. Brushing his white teeth and preparing his hair, he puts on a pair of clean boxers and walks off, turning off the bathroom light and leaving the mirror to aggressively fog up.

The clothes were neatly folded on his desk, ready to be put on. The camo green denim pants were the first thing he slid into, along with a brown belt attached to a silver buckle in the center. He put on a black turtle neck and threw a faded cool black denim jacket on top to tie the look together. He was finally dressed, adding on his favorite silver ring to his left hand. He unplugged his phone to check the time, 10:03 AM. His first class started at 10:30 so he decided to get lunch at a comfortable café that's on the way to campus. Walking out the door with vigor, he breathed the fresh air outside and went to his car to start his eventful journey.

He pulls into the café labeled as "The Counter". Most people would assume it's an odd name, but it's simplistic and chill, all which appeals to Bakugou. The door chimes a familiar noise as he walks into the charming shop. The aroma of Kurasu coffee fills his nose while walking further to the counter. A nice young woman's voice greets him as she does every other day.

"Hello Mr. Bakugou! Will it be the usual, sir?" She smiles his direction, probably the same smile she gives everyone.

"Yes please. Thank you," Bakugou replies, returning the warming smile on his own features, "Also, I come here like everyday, no need for the formalities now. I feel pretty close to this place to be honest."

"Oh of course, Bakugou," she tests out the name as if trying to get use to it, "In that case, you can call me Kaede, since I always seem to be the person to greet you when you swing by."

When Bakugou really thought about it, he's never called her by her name, as to stay respectful. Kaede, maple, fits her pretty well. With her caramel brown hair and hazel eyes, he couldn't recall any name that would suit her better.

"I'll get started on that drink right away," she winks playfully and slides behind the counter, while her other co-workers take more orders. Bakugou goes to sit at a small table nearby, the recognizable cypress log smooth under his hand. He rest for a minute, listening to calm music before his name was called. He walks up to Kaede, who is carefully holding his coffee. 20% sweetened UCC Sumiyaki Charcoal Roasted Blend, a mouthful but it's his daily order.

"Thanks again, Kaede. And the cat shaped foam on top is always so pleasing to see," A grin tugs at Bakugous lips.

"Anytime, Bakugou," She says teasingly, hinting at the new name. Bakugou lightly chuckles and turns his back to walk towards the door. The grin slowly fades as he starts the car back up, sipping his coffee before setting off for school.

The thoughts of what could happen today overwhelm his brain, so he plays music to drown them out. He decides on My Hair is Bad - 味方. He doesn't really relate to the lyrics as it blasts through his car, but the beat and pace of the song should distract him from the pounding thoughts rushing through his head.

The music takes over his nerves as he continues his short car ride to campus. Music has always helped ranging from his trauma to his greatest moments in life; music has been there for it all. You could consider it his dream to incorporate it into his career, but he's still figuring his future out. All he knows is that he wants it to stay around forever, like it has been. Music has never failed him now, and he's confident it won't later. Come to think of it, he read about UA's band program. He couldn't read too much into it because he had important enrollment stuff to do, though it seemed interesting enough. He'll have to check it out for himself before he can completely make up his weary mind.

Lost in thought, he doesn't realize that he pulled into the students parking lot. He reaches over to stop the song. Picking up his phone, he checks the time again, 10:17. Perfect, he thought, I'll have enough time to get in, choose a good seat, and be early. With all his belongings, he gets out of the car, locks it, and heads for the buildings double doors. He suppresses his increasing anxiety and continues to strut closer, eliciting an inferior feeling in Bakugou's gut that he refuses to show. He clears his head by overriding it with the positive possibilities, readying himself to walk into the door full of opportunity.

He sighs under his breath, grasping the warm handle in his hand and twisting it to open the door, "Here goes nothing.."
