Unexpected Love

Chapter 1

(Kai's pov)

I got home from school and tossed my bag in the corner of my room and jumped into my gaming chair I was about to long onto Overwatch but then there was a knock on my door. I sighed knowing it was probably my father. "Yes sir?" I said and he rather quickly opened my door shoving a paper in my face.

"Do you know what this is!?" He asked sternly and rather upset. I grabbed the paper from his hand and looked at it, it was my 2nd marking period progress report I had an F in Math but I mean who needs math anyways? I looked back up at him my expression not changing much.

"Its my progress report, not my report card I still have a couple more weeks to get that grade up." I said not really caring, he seemed to take that as a sign of disrespect some how because he started yelling at me.

"YOU NEED TO GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER OR THIS GAMING SET UP IS MINE!" He said before slamming my door shut. I sighed out in annoyance and turned back towards my computer waking it out of sleep mode logging in and going straight to overwatch, I was about to join the game when I got a dm on discord. I opened it and I didn't recognize the user name until I read the message.

Hey we're in a server together and I noticed you streamed and also played a lot of the same games as me.
I was wondering if you were interested in streaming sometime together.

A smile unconsciously formed on my face as the conversation ended. I don't usually stream with people so I was a little excited. As I continued playing Overwatch with each match I played I ended up getting the worse teammates imaginable until I got a message from the Atlas guy again.

With that I went to my profile and sent him my gamertag. The friend request showed up rather quickly I accepted his request and he joined my team, I unmuted my headphones and tested it to make sure he could hear me. "Hey Atlas can you hear me?" I questioned making sure my mic was working.

"Yeah I can hear you. How are you?" He answered back in a cheerful voice, I was almost shocked when I heard his voice, it as deep but not super deep it also seemed to of had a hint of angel,  it was so cute I couldn't describe it.

"I'm good, minus the whole shitty teammates thing." I said jokingly and we both chuckled. We joined a game and went to pick our characters. "Ah shit we need a healer." I said annoyed.

"No worries i'll be the healer, I'm better at that anyways." Atlas says and switches to Mercy. We play the round and for the first time all day I finally won a match.

"Okay you pretty much carried that entire round!" I say in a playfully jealous voice, Atlas laughed.

"No it was defiantly you." He said his laughing dying down. We kept playfully arguing back and forth and I guess my dad heard me because seconds later he comes barging into my room again.
