R*A*T*S (Sequel To A*M*E*R*I*C*A)

Chapter 30

"We understand your concern, and we apologize deeply for our mistakes."they both bowed. "But this is strictly business, and we want to help. We've brought our own crew, and we can promise you all that we have changed our ways." Kaz snapped his fingers and that's when the rest of their crew showed up. 

"Jimmy.." I heard Ash whisper to herself. Sure enough there was Jimmy standing right in front of her. He smiled warmly at her giving her a small wave. Angelo creeped to the front as well where Devin caught glimpse of him. The two didn't take their eyes off of each other. Sebastian and Emerson stepped forward to face Rem who was currently stuffing his face with a slice of the cake from earlier but was caught off guard by seeing his brothers. 

"Hey Remmy. Long time no see." They both gave him a smile but Rem seemed to be frozen in shock. I furrowed my brows asking the slim man if he was alright. 

"Yeah, um...Do you guys want some cake? I have plenty of left over."  A few giggles and chuckles littered across the backstage and everybody began to greet each other. It felt like a big family reunion. That's when I felt a small figure climb up my back and wrap their arms around my shoulders. I chuckled reaching my hand over to tussle the hair of my kitten who purred in response. He caressed his face against my cheek making me nearly melt at his touch. His skin was so soft, his small purrs were like music to my ears. 

"That was very sweet of you Chris. What made you give them a second chance?" Ricky purred into my ear. 

"I just remembered giving my brother and his friends a chance. Hyde might've gone mad with his power, but I probably would've done the same for love." I smirked up at Rick who just smiled and gave me a kiss on the cheek. After everyone got acquainted with each other, I went out to make my final announcements for the awaiting crowd.  

"Monsters and ghouls, before we conclude our show, we have a very special announcement to make. As you know, some of our acts have left our circus, so we have decided to expand ourselves by collaborating with another crew. So scream loudly for our brand new actors and actresses from Hyde's Sakasu of Freaks!" I held my hands up as Hyde's actors all came out at once, some doing flips and cartwheels as they entered. One was even walking in with a sword down his throat. Angelo was the last to come in with his wings spread out for all to see  and Devin perched on his shoulder. Then came in my crew just behind them doing their usual entrance tricks, getting the crowd going. Once everybody was around me I continued my speech. 

"We hope with this collab, to grow stronger as the strange and unusual, to show others that it's okay to be different, and that there is someone out here you can relate to and look up to. We are all family here, freaks, imperfections, flaws and all." I let the crowd absorb the new faces as I handed the mic to Hyde who looked a bit taken aback, but he accepted it. 

"Thank you all for having my family and I here to join you all this evening. I am Hyde, ring leader of the Sakasu. We will do everything in our power to make sure we put on a great show every time. Thank you." Hyde and Kaz both gave a deep bow towards the crowd as well as his crew and the crowd applauded them. After the show was completely over, we all went to settle backstage getting ready to pack everything up to move on to the next city. Reita was reunited with his vampire brothers who he forgave personally. It made me feel all warm and fuzzy and shit inside seeing this because it did remind me of when Kuza and I forgave each other years ago.
