Chapter 30

"What happened to the colorful haired one?" I asked casually. The man I remembered being his assistant, Jinxx I believe, simply smirked holding up a small jar in between his fingers.

"I turned him into dust and carry him in this little jar as a reminder to never be anyones slave." 

"Can't argue with that." Balz nodded his head. I noticed the two girls who had some kind of obsession with Ricky were holding a white box in their hands, both with shy smiles on their faces.

"Remember us? We're sorry about what happened, we honestly didn't know what was happening. But here! We made you this cake as an apology." The red haired girl, Heidi held out the box. 

Good nuff for me!" Remington popped out of nowhere hanging upside down from a beam support before snatching the box from the girl's hands and disappeared into the ceiling somewhere. Heidi stood there with her hands still open where the box once was with a look of shock and confusion on her face. 

"You'll get used to it." I chuckled to myself. 

"So, does this mean we're in agreement?" Kaz asked. I sighed to myself looking back at Balz and Ricky. Balz gave me a reassuring smile and a small nod. Ricky smiled too making my pale face get all warm and shit. Damn, after all this time his smile still sends me soaring. I turned back to Hyde's circus and nodded holding my hand out.

"Agreed, but no games, and we run this together as a team. This is still Manson's legacy i'm running here."

Hyde lifted his hand taking mine in it and we shook. His crew clapped cheering amongst themselves. I excused myself telling them all to have a seat while I wrapped up the show. After we were done I decided to make the announcement to my crew first so I gathered them around backstage. 

"Okay, great show as always guys! Now, I have something important to tell you all. As we all know we've lost a few members over the past year and although the shows have been doing good, I know we would do better with more acts. And it'll give a lot of you veterans a much needed break. We've decided to collaborate with another circus and join our actors with theirs."

Everyone was mumbling with each other probably confused, as I would expect from them. Francesca raised her hand but didn't wait for me to call on her before she spoke up.

"Don't you think it's too soon to add new faces to our show?"

"I understand your concerns." I paused looking down at my hands that I had folded together. "But if Manson were here, he would give them a chance. Especially if they needed the help. So Let me introduce you all to our new friends."

That's when Hyde and Kaz appeared in front of me, both bowing down to my crew, but as I expected, they started arguing. The two vampires didn't change their calm demeanor as my friends continued to protest. 

"Chris, I love ya, but are you freaking insane? They nearly destroyed us and everything we've worked hard for. And uh, oh yeah, they turned you and Rick into vampires!" Dani and Ash both said the last sentence at the same time. I nodded my head showing my concerns but reassured them.
