The Tressym known as Slobberchops led a much more exciting life than most. You see after he had left those horrible smelly humans and their little (but tasty) winged rats behind, he had thought he had found a life of luxury. His new family were a lot stranger than his last but at least they weren't them. They had found him when he had caught the scent of smoked sausage hanging on the wall in his empty kitchen. And with his old wings not being what they were he just couldn't reach it. That was when Star-Lady showed up and picked up the sausage, kneeled and gave him a piece. Her eyes were the blue of the sky, and her hair as white as the clouds that hang amongst it. She was kind but fierce. He called her Star-Lady because once they began travelling through Baldur's Gate together, she would gaze out the window or sit on roofs at night, idly picking at the matt in his fur until it was cleared. All the while gazing at the stars and praying. Next was a very short, very pale man who Slobberchops could swear was already dead. Regardless, Short-Dead-Man would fire fatal bolts of air out of his bow to save Slobberchops at the last minute, when they would get into fights. And they would get into a lot of fights while they roamed. So much so that Smelly-Green would sharpen the iron clawed mittens that his last owners had given him to catch the winged rats. Smelly-Green got his name because he always smelled of course but it wasn't always the same smelly smell. Sometimes he reeked of smoke and burnt things, others he'd stink of swamp and alcohol, Slobberchops doesn't spend a lot of time around him. And Angry-Man doesn't spend a lot of time around Slobberchops. He is not sure why but Slobberchops would love to torment him for it. He would sit on his face when they slept at night, walk circles between his feet as they walked. His personal favourite was purposefully sitting in his lap when he was dragging a stone across one of his long-pointy, metal things. Forcing him to either pay attention to him or move him, from there the cycle repeated. Angry-Man would never get angry at him, this was because Star-Lady would get angry at Angry-Man and she could be scary when mad. Angry-Man got his name because he would always yell when fighting, with a look of pure rage on his face. It seemed like he didn't enjoy the battle which Slobberchops didn't understand. He loved to fight with these new friends. Once even he had taken upon himself to defend them against a great big beast that they weren't paying attention to even after he yelled at them about it. Alas, he never reached his quarry and was captured by strange creatures that didn't really smell of anything at all, and didn't have horns like everything else around here did. He was put in a cage for a time as they wandered through this ruined city, but then Star-Lady finally found him and after a few loud words, he was set free again. He would probably try and not fight alone again while here he thought.

They had picked up a few new friends as they travelled, some left and some stayed, although at night when they all gathered under a false starry sky, they all talked of home and loved ones. Dozzy, Slopperchops would usually be in Star-Lady's lap his wings unfurled, paws splayed and receiving a gratifying massage. This caused a deep low purr from him that vibrated around the conjured dome and always seemed to put the yellow, oversized rat to sleep. This was probably his favourite part about travelling. His last family would never have done this for him. In return, of course, Slobberchops would venture out early to hunt one of the little winged things that everyone else seemed to not be able to see. This placed in the centre of their sleeping pile would suffice until next time I can care too, he thinks to himself before smugly settling himself upon Angry-Man's chest before he has had a chance to wake up.

This is the life of a Tressym named Slobberchops from Baldur's Gate. And this is what he thought in his last moments. It all happened so fast.

They were fighting like normal, Short-Dead-Man was behind him, and Angry-Man was yelling from the other side of the gigantic, green beast that was their foe. A cascade of towering white light was bearing down on the beast, yet it seemed unconcerned as it all happened. Slobberchops was lifted by a great boney claw that tore through him once. Twice. Before a third slammed him to the rocky and hot ground. Star-Lady and Angry-Man yelled as Short-Dead-Man tried to stab at the beast but it was futile. Half conscience and bleeding Slobberchops was lifted by the boney claw and dragged toward the great beast's toothy maw.

Then everything went dark.
