Jimin was almost certain that his absence was nothing people would actually care to talk about - which is why he was genuinely surprised to be acknowledged by so many students when he got back.
They would pat his back, greet him with big smiles, ask him if he felt better now and said that they had missed his sunny personality.
Sunny? Him?
What on earth was going on? Why would those people even care?
The attention he was getting made him feel embarrassed. He didn't know how, but it seemed like these people actually worried about him.
And...
... It felt nice somehow. Knowing that he was being missed. Knowing that people actually noticed.
A small smile graced his lips when he walked towards his locker, but once he turned around the corner it immediately dropped.
The hallway was stuffed with whispering and giggling students who surrounded his very own locker and he had no idea why they were all over the place.
He cautiously approached said crowd, swallowed his nervousness and finally gathered up the courage to tap one of the giggling girls on the shoulder.
JM: "Excuse me, but um... what are you guys doing? I need to get to my locker..."
The girl turned around and her eyes widened.
X: "You're Park Jimin, right? Aw man, I'm so jealous! I can't wait until I get to meet my soulmate!"
Jimin furrowed his eyebrows in confusion while the whispers died down all at once.
JM: "What are you talking abou--"
T: "Yah, hyung! What's this all about?"
While their heads snapped in his dongsaeng's direction, Jimin simply shrugged.
JM: "I have no idea, Tae..."
The brunette walked up from behind Jimin, casually wrapping one arm over the smaller male's shoulder.
T: "Alright people, move! We gotta get to class!"
The crowd didn't budge, except for making way for the both of them to get through to Jimin's locker.
Jimin's eyes widened when he saw the flood of sticky notes that covered most of his locker's surface. He would have frozen right on the spot if Taehyung hadn't dragged him further to examine what was written on them.

T: "Fuck me! He was serious when he said he was sorry, huh?"
Taehyung looked at his platonic soulmate in awe, but Jimin could do nothing but let his eyes wander over the sticky notes his soulmate obviously prepared all morning after he tenderly kissed him goodbye.

Seeing Jimin like that... this... this was the first time in a very long time that he actually saw his best friend's eyes sparkle again, and even though he still couldn't forgive his hyung's soulmate, he couldn't help but silently thank Yoongi for what he saw right then and there.
