It was a dare. All of it. I never wanted to be friends with her. But I got so roped up in my own pride that I accepted the dare. And somewhere along the way I fell in love with her. Her eyes, her voice, her laugh. I loved it. All of it. But I had to shove it down. Deep, deep down inside me. That's why I'm desperately trying to leave her. I have to. I know she doesn't love me like I do her. And besides, it's not like she'd date me if she did. She wants to focus on school and her future. I can't distract her from that. Those were my last thoughts as I sunk into a deep sleep. I woke up to my alarm the next morning, regretting even moving an inch. I got up and walked to my closet which was all the way across my small room. The walls were a light grey and a few lights were strung across the ceiling here and there. The cold, smooth wood creaked under my feet with each step. As I reached my closet, I looked to my left to see a picture of her. She was smiling that gorgeous smile that could light up a room. Her emerald green eyes shone in the darkness of my room. Her dark brown hair encircled her head but came to a close in a loose braid. I smiled at the thought of seeing her in a few hours. But I immediately caught myself. I continue to open the door to my closet and look through my clothes. Blue button up? No, too bright. Black hoodie? No, too casual. I want to look nice today. I eventually decided to wear a white button up under a brown sweater. She'd like that right? I hope so. I walk to the door of my room and open it. My cat comes darting in. " Morning Missy." I smiled. Missy always stays out of my room at night but comes running in like something is chasing her. She came and rubbed up against my leg. "Are you hungry Missy?" I jokingly asked, half expecting her to answer. She just meowed in response. I walked over to the bathroom across the living room. I flipped on the light switch next to the door. When the light switched on, I squinted my eyes out of shock. I struggled to open them again but I did eventually. I let Missy in and closed the door, turning the lock afterwards. I turned on the shower and set my clothes on the counter. While I waited for the water to warm, I looked in the mirror. What could such an amazing person such as her see in a fool like me? I questioned in my head.
When I got out of the shower I put on the clothes I picked out. I opened the drawer next to me and pulled out a comb. I brushed it through my hair while getting out my toothbrush. I put the toothpaste on it and ran it under some water. When I finished brushing, I went to the kitchen to make a small breakfast. I grabbed an apple and a banana. I cut them up and put the slices in a bowl with peanut butter. I was going to sit down when I heard my phone buzz from inside my room. I set my bowl down on the counter and went to go get my phone. When I got to it, I saw a notification from her on the screen. My stomach immediately filled with butterflies. The hair on my head stood on it's ends. I opened it up as quickly as possible.
Her: Hey dork. When are ya heading for school? Was wondering if you wanted to get some breakfast on the way.
Me: I'll head out now ig. Where are we meeting for breakfast? I'm presuming the usual?
I looked at my bowl I had just prepared. I dumped it's contents into the trash. I grabbed my jacket and keys and awaited her response.
Her: Where else dork? That's OUR place! We're practically family to the baristas there.
Me: Yeah ig. Be there in 10.
Her: Sweet see ya there!
I rushed out the door, making sure to lock it afterwards. And then I headed towards our favorite cafe.

And that is the end of Christan's POV and so I'll move on to the other girls POV but I need a name for her. Any suggestions?
