Somewhere very far away, in the midst of the Atlantic Ocean.
Where the sea hits against the rocks, water drops falling on the grass behind it. An island, no one knows even exists.
No one, expect for the living creatures upon the land itself.
Almost all of them which are cows, except for one lonely goat, who doesn't remember how he got there.
The sun stands low on the horizon, the air chilly and the grass damp.
Without the first rays of sunshine to warm the skin, it would have been unbearable.
One cow, his name being Trevor, he is covered in large black spots and blades of grass disappearing in his mouth.
He looks over at the horizon, seeing how the seagulls look for their food on the beach, only one of them flies away from the group as he made eye contact with Trevor.
His wings flutter in the air and he slows down to land beside him.
"I haven't seen you in a while" Trevor says absently.
"How far have you gone?"
"England." The seagull answers, "I met someone there."
"Really?" Trevor doesn't sound surprised nor enthusiastic at all
"Can't you be happy for me?"
"I am happy for you. It's just—"
"I returned, didn't I? You won't be alone forever Trevor."
Trevor makes his way back to the group.
Some of them are playing poker together, others are gossiping and a small group is taking a nap under the big oak tree.
"Trevor, do you want to play poker with us?" Gilbert calls, "you haven't played with us in ages."
"Oh... yea sure." He sits down besides the albino cow. "I've been busy."
"With what? You've just been lost in your own thoughts haven't you?"
"Maybe." He admits.
His eyes dartel over the other cows in the meadow. They are all so similar and life is always the same, it gets exhausting for Trevor.
He is bored with his life and wishes for a change. Then his gaze stops when seeing him again. There behind the bushes he sees the goat staring at them from a distance.
He is the only goat Trevor has ever seen, but the goat had never spoken a word.
The other cows used to yell at him to leave the island, shout about him not being welcome here, shout and yell and... attack.
Last time he was seen he got hurt by them. Would his wound have healed yet?
The goat looks at Trevor and startles, not even a second later and he has vanished from the scene.
It was time to go home, at least, Trevor thought so.
He starts to make his way up to his little hut, where he still lives with his parents and brothers. On his way there he bumps into him, the goat.
The goat's eyes widen in shock, "I'm so sorry."
"Don't be." Trevor says rather amused by him.
"What's your name?"
"I don't understand. I shouldn't be here."
"What's your name?" He repeats patiently.
"Mike.... My name is Mike."
"Nice to meet you Mike, I am—"
"TREVOR!" His mother yells from a distance, "IS THAT THAT GOAT?"
"You should get out of here." He warns mike, "my mother is probably going to send my brothers out to get you. I'm sorry for that."
"I'm used to it." Mike sighs, "thank you."
