"Oh! Uh- well, see- I- uh." Cashier hesitated telling Dummy as he felt great shame in his actions.
"I- jumped out of a window." Dummy's eyes grew wide.
"I jumped out and I hit the ground and I planted into the ground. The aftermath probably explains the dent in my head." Cashier admitted.
"Oh, Cashier. Does that mean?" Cashier nodded.
"It wasn't an accident. I wasn't pushed. I did it myself. But- I have a reason! I just- had this dream where I came back to this area and my convenience store that was all jaded and run down and- and- there was (Reader). I knocked on their door and they just- were so angry. But their anger was- justified. I wasn't in the right just running off- away from my problems since I didn't want to face the fact I had a problem. And I should've gotten help from you or (Reader), who just wanted to help me. It was just so hard. And- I felt so much shame." Cashier sighed.
Dummy frowned and walked to Cashier, hugging him and patting him on the back.
"Is there- any way I can live again?" Dummy thought for a moment before shaking his head indicating he couldn't.
"Not exactly, but I can send you back just like how I can leave my void to visit you and (Reader) from time to time." Cashier smiled upon hearing that.

And so Cashier stood there with Dummy, outside of his old store, admiring the condemned building with liter scattered around. Cashier walked inside with a firm push of the entrance door and looked around to find a depressing old inside with sodas all over the floor, spoiled oranges, and dust bunnies that ran around the store left to right.
He walked to his old counter and wiped it with his pointer finger, dust collecting on it as he stood there in awe. As if time had stood still, nothing seemed to change in the area. The purple trees still floated outside. And the streets were still un-drivable. He stepped back outside and noticed his car, no longer polished from the day he scraped egg off of it.
"Want to go see (Reader)?" Dummy asked Cashier who shivered at the name. He nodded and walked with Dummy towards your house, trudging his feet all the way there, hesitant on seeing you for the first time in forever. And especially after his dream. Dummy and Cashier finally reached your door as Dummy walked up the stairs and let out a hardy knock.
You opened the door to see Dummy and a man you had longed to see for years now.
"C-ashier-?" You stuttered out in disbelief. Cashier stood there in silence and waved awkwardly, struggling to maintain eye contact. You ran to him and hugged him tightly, never wanting to let him out of your sight again.
"Oh Cashier, I missed you so much." You admitted kissing his cheek. Cashier felt dizzy and blushed heavily, smiling coyly and hugging you back.
"Come in, come in!" You urged as Dummy and Cashier walked in, sitting down on the couch. Everyone sat there weirdly, staring at one another before Cashier decided to speak up.
"(Reader), I'm sorry for leaving without telling you or anyone else. It was selfish of me to do." Cashier sighed, feeling weird confronting his feelings. You shook your head.
"Don't be. I just wished you could've talked to me before running off and- why did you come back anyways?" Cashier looked away upon hearing your question and felt more guilt rise up in his throat.
"Uh- I jumped out of a window, actually." Your mouth opened and you sat there in shock. He what? Oh God, you didn't know how to feel. You jumped up and wrapped your arms around him and hugged him tighter than you've ever hugged him before. You then began to cry and sniffle, the news setting in. Cashier felt horrible for you and hugged you too, his eyes wetting a bit as well.
Cashier told you everything. What had happened the night he ran away, why he did it, and why he went ahead and offed himself. He felt so bad for not telling you sooner as you understood completely as to why. He even told you about the dream he had of you and him and how you lashed out at him which made him feel absolutely horrible. Dummy, at this point felt like he was a third wheel and was sort of getting in the way of the moment so he bid the both of you farewell and left, shutting the door quietly while you and Cashier had your moment.
"For old times sake." You said, holding out both of your hands and spreading your fingers.
"Depression?"
"Zero."
"Anxiety?"
"Three."
"Irritation?"
"Zero."
You smiled upon hearing that. It seemed that Cashier was noticeably much happier than he had ever been since the world turned upside down and you both found out you were nothing but coding.
Cashier, after a bit of talking, stood up and grabbed your hand, walking out of your house and towards his store before then climbing onto the roof. You did the same and swung your legs out over the end of the roof as Cashier took off his visor and looked down at the date written on the back of it. You noticed the big dent in his head.
"Are you okay, Cashier?" You asked, pointing to his head to which he chuckled.
"Oh well, since I jumped out of a window, obviously my head was a complete mess, so, when I was transferred to Dummy's void, it just sort of sewed itself back up so my innards weren't exposed, thankfully. You nodded.
"Does that mean you're- dead?" Cashier nodded.
"Yeah, I can't really die anymore seeing as how I am dead. Sort of like Dummy, though, I'm stuck in limbo so I can be here with you." Cashier smiled, turning to look at you. You smiled back and nodded in understanding.
"I see."
You and Cashier sat in awkward silence before Cashier piped up.
"How's Player doing?"
"Moved out years ago. Couldn't take his dad's bitching so he packed his things and left, living wherever. We talked for a bit before he left, me and Dummy gave him a few things for his journey and we haven't seen him since. 'Hope he's doing well." You replied. Cashier nodded.
"Well." You said, taking out a pack of smokes and handing them to Cashier.
"Seeing that you're dead now, you can smoke these all you want without risk." You stated. Cashier pushed them back towards you and shook his head.
"No, keep 'em. This is a new start. It's a new me. For once in so long I feel- content with myself. And I feel like this is a new start for the both of us moving forward. So, what do you say?" Cashier asked standing up and holding out his hand to you. You grabbed his hand and pulled yourself up, holding each others hands and staring into each others eyes, lovingly.
"Hi, my names Cashier. And you?"
"(Reader). But you can call me Skates."
"What a pretty name for such a lovely looking person such as yourself." Cashier stated pulling you closer to him. He kissed you and you did the same, ready for what the world awaited for them as the world continued on, you and Cashier, now inseparable.
He looked at you after staring at the moon and have a soft smile.
"I hope you know how much I love you. Even if we are nothing but coding. Your my favorite piece of coding there ever was in this world made up of it. Cashier stated. You blushed and looked up towards the sky.
"I think my wish came true." Cashier said.
"That?"
"That we will live happily for a very, very long time."
